Testimonials
I am delighted with my lens replacement surgery. I was apprehensive at first however Valerie and her team are amazing I can not praise her as much as I’d like to. I had my lens replaced on 14th and 15th February 2017 right eye 1st then the following morning other eye. and my Vision could not be better.
A few weeks of eye drops after surgery and all good the thing I noticed more is haveing a shower and seeing what was the shampoo bottle.
If you are thinking about it 100% do it as they is no pain what so ever it just nerves and Valerie and her team make the the nervousness go away I’m pleased to say.
I knew as soon as I read that Valerie was a dry eye specialist that she was the surgeon for me. I was -10 with an astigmatism and had very dry eyes, previously contracting keratitus because of the dryness.
Three years ago I went to a high street laser clinic to see if I was eligible. They were very impersonal, did not mention my dry eyes, and were very pushy. Another high street company told me they didn’t have the technology for my strong prescription. I decide against the procedure for a couple of years after these negative experiences.
However as my eyes were getting drier, wearing contact lenses was becoming more uncomfortable and I could wear them less and less. My glasses were incredibly thick because of my prescription. I decided I would avoid the high street and go through a private surgeon. Valerie immediately stood out to me because of her expertise in dry eyes.
Valerie was absolutely everything you would want in a surgeon and incredibly competent and professional. She was extremely clear and detailed in her explanations – I feel like I’ve learnt a lot about eyes! We decided that ICL would be the best route given my prescription and dry eyes. The procedure itself was extremely quick and calm. I attended the operation for the second eye without my boyfriend in tow because I felt so relaxed about it after the first one.
The after care provided by Valerie was extremely thorough and regular. It was very reassuring to see her at such regular intervals after the surgery. I could not have felt in better hands.
My correction is one level better than 20:20. It is like seeing in HD – my vision was way off this in glasses and contacts. The dryness is getting much better now that I am no longer wearing contact lenses.
Dr Saw completed my LASEK surgery in November 2017. Her team completed a thorough pre-assessment of my eyes and determined I was suitable for surgery. On the day of the surgery I was walked through the process step-by-step to ensure I was comfortable with what was going to happen as well as information about how long different things would take. After the surgery I went home and after a few days was able to get out and about and returned to work 2 weeks later. I’ve had several follow up appointments and have reached out to Dr Saw multiple times with questions all of which have been responded to promptly. My vision is now better than 20/20.
My wife is also looking to get laser eye surgery and we’ll definitely be going back to see Dr Saw!
Extremely pleased with the surgery I had in January 2016. It is life changing. Valerie was fantastic all way through, very professional and thorough in her explanations. Surgery was painless and results were already incredible after a few hours. After care support was brilliant. I have been recommending Valerie to my family and friends since then!
I highly recommend undertaking laser surgery with Valerie. I had a very high prescription (-8) and was wearing spectacles and then contact lenses since I was 5 years old. I was a bit apprehensive at the start but Valerie was very reassuring from the beginning. I received all the information I wanted allowing me to make my choice. The surgery (May 2016) didn’t take long at all and the discomfort only lasted a couple of hours. I was provided with a range of drops including anesthetics drops against the pain which were very efficient. After a few hours, I was seeing and my vision settled very quickly after then. I was driving my son to school after 48h. Valerie gave me her mobile number allowing me to call her, anytime (even during the weekend) if I had any concerns. This was really reassuring. She is making herself available for her patients and is very caring. My vision is now perfect, which is an amazing and crazy feeling! Whenever friends mention laser surgery, I encourage them to see Valerie as I know they will be in very safe hands. The clinic facilities are very clean and modern, as you would expect for private facilities. You are very well looked after all way through.
