Testimonials
I had Lasik standard treatment with Intralase done on 01/03/09 in Donegal Place clinic in Belfast.I was -8 in my right eye and -7.5 in my left with quite bad astigmatism and having been refused treatment three years ago I was delighted to find that I could now have it done. From consultation through to post treatment check up I found all the staff very friendly and helpful. On the day of my treatment I met Mr Kazakos who was very pleasant indeed and gave me an opportunity to ask any further questions.During the procedure he and his staff were excellent.Professional and very reassuring. They really put me at ease and it was over before I knew it.I felt no pain at all.Just a slight pressure on my eyes. And noticed the difference immediately although it was a little hazy.Next day was astonishing. On my 24hr check up I was told I had slightly better than 20/20 vision.Amazing!Having freedom from contact lenses and glasses will make such a difference to my life and I cannot thank Mr Kazakos and the wonderful staff of Optical Express enough.I would highly recommend this treatment!
I had Lasik Wavefront treatment carried out in Southampton about a week ago and found Dimitri to be very welcoming and put my initial worries at rest, in fact all the staff at Southampton were very helpful and kind. The treatment itself was carried out in around 10 minutes, intially i had some discomfort in my left eye, but the right felt pretty ok from the off, the next day my sight had improved dramically i and i could see weel enough to drive the 5 miles to my 24 hour checkup, althoug the vision in my right eye was very slightly clearer than the left, after a bout 4-5 days they evened up.My long distance vision is after 6 days now brillient, but i’m still not quite there seeing clearly in my short distance sight, like reading, looking at my watch, or reading text’s on my mobile is still not quite here as yet, but it is getting better day by day, and first thing in the moring it takes a little while for my sight to clear properly, and takes about 10-15 minutes to do so but at least i can now see to use my PC, hence why I’m writing this 6 days after the op, if my sight continues to keep getting better over the next week or so I’ll be even happier. Thank you Mr KazakosOveral so far so good, Ii’m very pleased I can now bin the bins…
I had my surgery done on 20/03/09 at the Dublin branch, and Dimitri Kazakos made it all very easy for me. He answered any questions I had before the surgery and during the surgery he made me feel very relaxed and comfortable. I did feel some discomfort after the surgery but this had gone after I had gone home and went to sleep for a few hours, I could not believe how improved my eyesight was the next day after a nights sleep it was amazing, it is now 4 days after the surgery and it seems as if my sight is improving even more as the days pass. For anyone who is thinking about having this done I would recommend you do so as it makes such a difference. Thanks Dimitri Kazakos for making the procedure seem so easy.
On the 5th March I had Lasik Laser treatment with Optical Express, Cardiff. I am amazed at the results 20/20 vision after 24hrs.All the staff at Optical Express have been wonderful, very friendly, most helpful. The procedure was painless and over very quickly. I could see the results straight away, apart from a milky haze which wore off within hours, On the day of treatment Mr Dimitri Kazakos went through the procedure in detail, this made feel very comfortable with the treatment I was about to receive.Following laser surgery a nurse, while I was resting went through the aftercare. Following their advice I did not have any discomfort. I am extremely grateful to Dimitri and his wonderful team for an amazing gift of life changing 20/20 vision. If anybody is having second thoughts then don’t. You will be amazed at the results.I can not thank the team enough.
I had lasik wavefront on 4th March in Bristol at Cribbs Causeway. The surgeon was very profession and so quick! He talked me through the whole procedure and there was no pain what so ever. I was extremely nervous and gave up wearing contact lenses as I did not like things touching my eye and I felt that the surgeon obviously sensed this and did an excellent job putting me at ease! I could not afford the intraIase so had microkeratome blade which did not hurt. The whole thing only seemed to take 2 mins (It may have been 10 but did not fell like it!) I did not seem to get heavy eye lids and my eyes didn’t run which the staff had explained to me was a possible side effect during the first 24 hours. 24 hours later I could see perfectly (better than 20/20), again in no pain but at my check up the optician noted that there was some inflammation so recommended I increased the drops – again still no pain though! I even had a phone call that evening from the staff again recommending a change in the course of action (which I think was recommended by the surgeon after they contacted him to inform him of what had happened) to help clear up the inflammation. After 48 hours I attended another check up to monitor the situation and the inflammation had gone and two different opticians checked my eyes just to be certain! The aftercare was amazing and I could not fault the staff. I immediately got used to not having to reach for my glasses first thing in the morning and would definitely recommend this procedure and surgeon.
