Highliy reccommended surgeon.Made every effort to explain procedure and reassure as to safety and lack of pain.He talked me through each stage as the procedure was being performed, which I found comforting and certainly reduced anxieties. His patience and expertize were evident throughout the whole procedure. The advise he gave me was invaluable for posr op recovery.
Within the last 2 months 3 of my friends have had laser eye surgery and raved about it. As I have been thinking about for years but never done anything about my husband kindly offered to pay as a 40th birthday present! I have worn glasses for over 23 years -3.50 in both eyes with a slight astigmatism in one eye. My appointment for Intralase Lasik Wavefront surgery was booked for 11.30am on Tuesday 26th May 2009 – I was examined by Dimitri Kazakos who answered all my questions and made me feel very relaxed – the only problem being a technical fault with the Intralase equipment. During the delay Mr Kazakos and his team kept us informed about what was happening and advised that there was a possibility the surgery might not happen as Mr Kazakos was booked on a flight that evening and needed to leave by 5.30pm. By 4.20pm the machine was up and running and Mr Kazakos came out and told everyone that their surgery would happen that evening and he was staying to do it as he had cancelled his flight. I couldn’t have been more thrilled as I thought if I go out of here tonight not having had it done I won’t pluck up the courage to come back! The procedure its self was quick and painless. Dimitri talked to me the whole time which helped me to relax. As soon as they had finished and I sat up I was totally blown away at how well I could see – although things were a little blurry it was still much much better than I could see before without my glasses. During the post op examination with Dimitri I kept telling him how amazed I was by the whole thing. As it was now 6.30pm I went home and went straight to bed and slept without any discomfort or pain. In the morning my vision was absolutely fantastic, it did go a little hazy at times but still no discomfort or pain. At my appointment that afternoon I was told I had better than 20/20 vision and that it would get sharper over the next few days. After 23 years I have thrown my glasses away, I can’t wait to swim with my children in the South of France this summer WITHOUT glasses!!!!I can’t recommend Dimitri Kazakos and his team high enough – thank you for everything you have done – life without glasses is truly wonderful!!
Calm and reassuring. And now I can see.
I had eye correction surgery in Cardiff branch on Friday (it’s now Tuesday) – my only regret is not having it done sooner. It was a pain-free and quick procedure, and was provided with plenty of reassurance and comfort through the whole process. The free consultation went smoothly and staff were great – very friendly and approachable. The day of surgery I spent approximately an hour and half in the branch, but it took only ten minutes to complete the correction surgery. The surgeon Dimitri Kazakos was very comforting and professional, however friendly and sensitive to my worries at the same time. I now have better than 20/20 vision – amazing. From a prescription of -3.75 in both eyes, constantly relying to on my specs and contacts, I cant describe how incredible I feel. I noticed a difference straight away and it keeps getting better. It is important to follow the post-op instructions with the eye drops and eye shields, but worth it.I was so unsure about getting this done – but highly recommend it. If in doubt go for it…it’s the best thing I have ever done!
