I had LASEK surgery to correct my short sightedness after many years of contact lenses. I am very pleased with the result and would highly recommend Mr Maurino.

I completely recommend having Lasik surgery, it's life changing! I've worn glasses for the last 23 years & I now finally have freedom! Being able to see from the moment I wake up without scrabbling for glasses is amazing! The service I received from Dr Vincenzo Maurino was nothing short of excellent, every single member of his team that I had contact with was professional, caring and knowledgeable. I was really apprehensive before the surgery, but the lasik procedure was fully explained to me so I understood exactly what was happening at each stage. The process was very quick, completely painless and without any post surgery complications. I am now enjoying 100% vision and I wouldn’t hesitate to fully recommend Vincenzo Maurino to anyone considering this type of surgery.

I had a lasik procedure in december 2012 with Doct. Maurino and i couldn't be any happier right now. Doct. Maurino was very supportive since the first preliminary visit when i was not 100% sure yet if having the surgery or not. Every aspect of client care been outstanding, preliminary visit was accurate, pre op info explained in depth, post op expectations measured and realistic (have 20/20 on the right eye right now and something less on the left one but this was already expected).Doct Mautino was also very supportive on the immediate post op, when i had a lot of "doubts" on what to do and what do not, always there prompt to answer me.Surgery itself was quick and pain free.I would really recommend Doct Maurino and his equipeFrancesco ManiscalcoDoct Maurino

After 26 yrs of wearing glasses and contacts I feel liberated. All thanks to the excellent advice, surgery, after care and overall service provided by Mr Maurino and his team.

After 15+ years of wearing glasses/contact lenses I jumped at the chance for laser eye surgery as soon as i was a suitable candidate. Following my consultation Mr Maurino recommended LASEK surgery, which is slightly more uncomfortable than LASIK and has a longer recovery time. However, the procedure was pain free and my eyes healed quickly. I have just had my last consultation after the procedure and I couldn't be happier with the results. This is the first review I have ever written for anything - that's how impressive Mr Maurino and his team are, world class!

Two years after my sister had been operated on by Mr Maurino, I finally plucked up the courage to go to an initial consultation for laser eye surgery. Following the success of my sister’s surgery, I could choose no other consultant but Mr Maurino. After an extremely careful and comprehensive examination of my eyes, I was advised that the Lasek rather than Lasik surgery would be more suitable, given the thinness of my cornea. The reasons and risks were explained clearly and I appreciated being given the opportunity and time to ask as many questions as I wanted. As my sister had the Lasik surgery, I was initially more anxious about going through with the Lasek surgery, especially since the healing process for Lasek is longer and can involve more pain and discomfort. My anxiety was, however, short-lived. I knew that I was going to be treated at the world’s largest specialist eye hospital and by an exceptionally skilled and eminent ophthalmologist. Contrary to what I expected, I experienced only minor discomfort after the surgery and I was astounded at how much my vision improved each day. I am overwhelmed with the results of the surgery and would undoubtedly recommend Mr. Maurino to others. Mr. Maurino is a true professional and a remarkable surgeon but he is equally a genuine, attentive and supportive consultant. I honestly don’t think I would have entrusted (or would ever entrust) anyone other than Mr. Maurino with my eyes.

Great treatment - hospital and surgeon were very clear and helpful and the pre-screening was very reassuring. There was more to the surgery from a surgeon's perspective than I initially expected (thinking everything was done with a machine) so I was happy I had gone with a clinic and surgeon of Mr. Maurino's standing. After-care excellent. Highly recommended.

I was doubtful about the laser operation as few years ago another Doctor (with no corneal expertise) advised against Lasik. Then I saw Vincenzo Maurino at Moorfields who is an expert of laser refractive surgery and also cornea. I felt safe from being treated by a Senior Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon in a world renewed eye hospital with expertise beyond laser surgery alone. He explained very clearly the pros and cons of the operation and as such my expectations were fully met. One of the immediate positive effect of my now great vision is that my sport life has grown and I now practice regularly swimming, cycling and football without having to bother with glasses or lenses. I wish I did such operation years before! I fully recommend Mr Maurino at Moorfields without any doubt!

I had some trepidation going into this surgery but felt reassured by Mr Maurino and his very warm staff. The surgery was over in 15 minutes and I had no side effects at all. It was expensive but worth it.
