Visualase understands that having laser eye surgery is a big decision for you, and knows that you will have questions about your suitability and the treatment itself. This clinic has over 12 years experience in delivering clinical excellence and can guide you through the process every step of the way.
As a private independent clinic, it provides extremely high levels of customer service and personal attention, claiming that over 99% of its patients would recommend it to family and friends.
At your free consultation, Mr Eamonn Hynes, Mr Manoj Mathai or Dr Stephen Doyle will sit down with you and discuss the best way to correct your vision and answer all your questions. These eye doctors have a wealth of experience, having performed over 50,000 procedures between them. This one-to-one time with your treating doctor, as part of your decision making process, is surprisingly rare, and is not offered as standard by many of the other laser eye clinics.
When you come for a consultation at Visualase – you talk to your doctor – not a salesperson. It can be reassuring to meet your doctor in advance, and have your questions answered. What’s more Visualase’s unique blend of the latest technology, surgical skill and patient care are impressive – though some of the top eye clinics in London are even more advanced.
Visualase is on a mission to help more people in the UK enjoy sports, hobbies and holidays, without the hassle and inconvenience of glasses and contact lenses. That’s why it comes fifth in our list of the five best laser eye surgery clinics in Manchester. Just remember that Visualase only offers laser eye surgery – if you’d prefer lens replacement surgery, you might want to keep looking. Or talk to an eye expert to find out which option would suit your eyes best.

Our Testimonials
A quick, simple and painless experience! I cannot recommend enough. I rested at home for about 2 hours after the procedure and then any discomfort had gone. The staff are amazing, they put you at ease and are so friendly. My husband also had it done at this clinic and because he was so pleased with everything I decided to go for it too!
Did my research before choosing Visualase and didn’t regret my decision at all, from the first phone call right up to my 3 month check up everything has been superb. All the staff not only at Visualase but at Cloughs as well are really helpful, reassuring and can’t do enough to put you at ease. I know everybody says it when they’ve had laser eye surgery that I should have done it years ago, but it’s true! Go for it and if you want my advise look no further than Visualase, you wont be disappointed. My wife’s had hers done now as well, through Visualase of course.

I just want to thank Hilary & Elaine for all their patience with me.They were absolutely fantastic.Would recommend the clinic to anyone thinking of having their eyes done.
From the moment I made my first phone call to the treatment and the follow up appointments I have had nothing but the best care and support.
It was the best decision that I could ever have made and I have all the staff at Visualase, Bolton to thank.
The consultation with Mr Doyle was informative and very helpful he explained everything to me in laymens terms so that I could understand the procedure. He showed me the operating room and the machine that would be used which put my mind at rest as I knew exactly what would happen.
The procedure itself was painfree and Mr Doyle told me exactly what he was doing and what to expect when. Following the procedure I did feel some slight discomfort but that was expected and the pain killers and anaesthetic drops were provided. It did take a week for my eyes to recover however, it was very quick and I could see almost immediately with my left eye it took slightly longer with my right.
Overall,a very worthwhile experience and I would recommend it to anyone thinking about laser eye surgery.
I had my right eye treated on Friday 19th Oct at 3pm. Treatment was painless and by Saturday morning my vision was excellent. Eye drops and care will needed for 7 days. Normally at my age reading glasses would be needed if both eyes were treated but I received advice that because my reading was OK without glasses I could have just one eye treated which avoids the need for reading glasses. I am delighted with the whole process from initial consultation through to treatment.
