I was recommend this clinic by my optition and said it would be everything it was, polite, helpful, kind, supportive, professional,and a friendly family business. I wasn't really that nervous about the surgery as the surgeon went through all the risks and the complications after treatment(which would only happen if you were dumb enough not to take care of them post-op. I got shown around the opperating theatre as well as a explanation of all the equipment that is used. I was talked through the whole time of surgery about what was happing next and how long for etc. which does put you at great ease. I didn't feel any pain during the treatment and if you are worried about not being able to blink, there is a ton of drops they need to put in your eyes so you never feel the need to blink, trust me!
I got my eyesight back 7 hours later and it only felt like i had a grit in my eyes, so it is best not to attempt to see till at least this, the discomfort eased if your eyes had time to rest.
The after care is as you would expect, you arn't there for long but they do thorough exams on your eyes.
Overall it is fantastic, as times gone on the colour has also got a lot sharper.

I recommend Visualase in Bolton without hesitation. All the staff helped make me feel comfortable from the first visit. I chose Epilasik at first but Mr Heaven advised me to go for Lasik as it suited my prescription better and also my expectations of the surgery. With a small child I needed a procedure with the shortest recovery time. I was really amazed that by day 2 I was seeing well with no discomfort, bright light did not bother me and I had no pain. I can honestly say that I have had more discomfort and trouble after visits to the dentist. I was given extra eye drops to take with me on holiday. If you have worn contact lenses for years and are used to 'handling' your eyes then you should find the surgery easy. It really isn't as bad as you might imagine. Weeks afterwards I still find myself thinking that I've got my lenses in. Thanks again to everyone at Visualase. Keep up the good work. x
I had laser treatment just over 12 months ago and can't believe how brilliant I feel never having to wear glasses. I was quite nervous before the treatment, but the staff and surgeon were very reassuring and I never felt a thing. 12 months on and I have 20-20 vision, I no longer have astigmatism and I would definately recomend this treatment to anyone as it is the I've done.
I had LASIK treatment in November 2005, the results have been outstanding – it has changed my life. Mr Heaven was excellent – The clinic staff were brilliant.The treatment was painless and the results were instantaneous. I would recommend Visualase to anyone, they were more friendly and professional than the 'High St chain' clinics I considered.
