The first Ultralase clinic was opened in January 1991 at the Clatterbridge Hospital near Chester. At the time, all treatments performed were Photorefractive Keratotomy, or PRK, until the Lasik procedure was introduced in 1995.

This is the best two grand I've ever spent! Ultralase changed my weak -6 eyes to above 20/20 vision. My eyesight is generally better than others who thought their eyesight was perfect! I love photography, so it's great not having spectacles getting in the way of the viewfinder or contacts going all murky. I had the procedure done 15 months ago and I'm still amazed by it all. I also had microsurgery performed by MNr Jory senior at least 7 years ago and in my early forties then. I was shortsighted (minus 8 or so) the results were fabulous and he is a great guy, very caring – and careful. I have had trouble free (almost perfect)vision ever since but have recently noticed a bit of blurring especially in the morning so will be going to see him again to see if a bit more twesking is possible. IT WORKS – GO FOR IT!!
