The first Ultralase clinic was opened in January 1991 at the Clatterbridge Hospital near Chester. At the time, all treatments performed were Photorefractive Keratotomy, or PRK, until the Lasik procedure was introduced in 1995.

What can I say, been wearing glasses since the age of 11, contacts since I was16/17. I was apprehensive about surgery but there was no need to be. The surgery was fine, not painful at all, all the consultants were great, on time and quick.
The aftercare has also been great. To be able to see unaided is fantastic, i would seriously recommend anyone considering treatment to go ahead.

Waking up in the morning and being able to see if amazing! As is buying any pair of sunglasses from any store, as is being able to swim without bumping into the wall. As is being able to see faces!! My confidence has soared and no longer feel like my face is hidden behind thick frames. Ultralase were very professional enabling me to relax throughout the procedure and afterwards when my eyes were heating. Would do it again and again!!!
