4. The Verdict
I am really happy with the results. Apart from the machine not working and the long wait, the staff at this Optimax were really nice, friendly and helpful, as was Dr Patel. I would recommend this Optimax. – Tina Gibson

Optimax has an average overall rating due to hit-and-miss patient care, based on nearly 9,000 independent reviews on Lasik Eyes since 2002.
Most patients we spoke to were happy with the service. However, the long waiting times and poor communication mean this clinic misses the top spots on the list of the best laser eye surgery clinics in the UK. Still, Optimax makes it into these top lists:

Our Testimonials
Hi All,
Had some progess on what to do if you're stuck for aftercare but I think it would be inappropriate for me to post it here.
Please get in touch with me via the email above and I can let you know what resolution I've managed to get and hopefully help out a little.
Cheers,
Alan
I had epi lasik done at the Croydon surgery, it took 5 minutes and i can safely say that the results are fantastic. I now have better then 20 20 vision { and i thought you couldnt get better than that }, the staff are very friendly and professional {especially as i turned up late for my second appointment because i hadn't read the time right on the letter} and i can assure you that was before my op.I do strongly advise anyone who wants it done to get it done, sure it hurts a bit but after a few hours you are fine.In fact the only problem that i have had is that i still push phantom glasses up my nose, but i'm sure that habit will fade away soon.
It's a miracle! I was -6.00 and -6.25 and although my eyes gave the consultants some concern they were absolutely thorough and did their utmost to make this operation possible. After 30 years of being lost without glasses or contacts I am now totally free of them. Vision is now + 0.5 and -0.5. I had Epi-Lasik and although there was some discomfort for the first few days this would still not put me off, such are the wonderful benefits (and I'm a real wimp!). Thank you Optimax. Remember to take your old glasses in and donate them to charity – you won't need them!
Excellent. Had surgery at Leicester clinic. Both eyes were -1.75 and now have perfect vision. Staff were exceptional and I would absolutely recommend Optimax to everyone. Wish I'd had it done years ago! Thank you.
I had lasik treatment at the Leeds clinic on the 19th of May, went back the next day for a check-up and I had 20/20 vision. Slight discomfort on the day of treatment which only lasted a couple of hours and no problems since. The staff were very helpful and courteous. I only have one regret, that I did'nt have it done years ago. Thank-you Optimax superb service!
