Is there anything else I should know? As you’d expect then, this clinic also comes with the price tag that accompanies a five-star experience. Yes, the facilities are kitted out with high-end diagnostic tech and quality lenses, backed up by a team of highly trained staff. But you leave all the fancy atmosphere behind the moment you step outside the clinic, and it won’t be a priority for everyone.

Centre for Sight has expertise in all the major eye treatments, from LASIK to lens replacement surgery, and implantable contact lenses. Here are some of the most popular surgeries:

Centre for Sight also provides interest free pay monthly finance options over a generous 24 months – with some clinics, you’ll be paying 11% APR after the first year. As with most clinics, there’s a deposit of £500 to secure the surgery, but this cost comes off the total cost.

If you are considering LASIK treatment I cannot recommend CfS more strongly. Yes they are more expensive, but Mr Daya is a world class surgeon and his team are fantastic. I felt totally confident in him and I believe he would give a really honest opinion if one’s eyes are not suitable for this treatment (in particular the size of iris and curvature of cornea) I am about to go for my nine month check up and have had no discomfort at all other than a mild dryness right at the beginning.
I have just been for my 9/10 month check up with Mr Sheraz Daya and his team and to put it mildly both they and I are delighted with the results – I know have 6.3 and 6.4 vsision, this is regarded as ‘super’ vision and basically means that I can read the bottom line of the sight chart! To really put this into perpective, the optician had me try some ‘glasses’ which showed me exactly what I came in with last January – I could not believe that I had really been that blind! I cannot remember my precise prescription but it was nearly 5 in one eye and 4 in the other, with very severe astigmatism.
I noticed the comments from Trevor about lack of entries against CfS and this also surprises me as I know how many operations Mr Daya has performed. I can only assume that CfS are not as commercially active as some of the other clinics – they certainly do not advertise in FHM or Cosmo! Remember when you are going to CfS you are going to one of this countries leading eye hospitals which has a world renowned reputation.
Reading the comments from many of the other clinics entries on this site, there seems to be a high proportion of pain, discomfort, dryness and general concern from patients even though they give very high scores. I experienced none of this and most importantly I knew that there was someone at the end of a phone line and a hospital I could visit at any time if I had any problems/concerns.
I genuinely cannot recommend the procedure, CfS, Mr Daya and his entire support team enough. They are certainly not the cheapest around, in fact I have been shocked by some of the prices I have seen advertised in ‘lifestyle’ magazines. However, I cannot think of a more important medical procedure than having your eyes cut open and to look for somewhere to have this done that is not attached to a very well established and competent medical facility seems naive in the extreme.
If you are considering LASIK, I urge you to find the money and go and see CfS as soon as possible!

I had LASIK surgery by Mr Daya about a year ago and I can honestly say it was the best money I have ever spent, I had worn glasses all my life (with lenses as thick as milk bottles) I now have perfect vision and can read the bottom line on a sight chart!!
I have seen adverts for other clinics offering cheaper surgery than Mr Daya, but when it comes to your eyes are you really looking to save money?

I had LASIK treatment on both eyes 6 weeks ago and can honestly say that it has changed my life for the better. I now have 20/20 vision. The hospital and staff that attended me were all very professional and helpful – and if I have any problems whatsoever I can always contact them.
