1. Review of Centre for Sight Clinic
Centre for Sight is a long-standing and renowned eye surgery clinic, with three practices in London, Surrey and West Sussex. Its leading consultant eye surgeon, Mr Sheraz Daya, founded the clinic way back in 1996 with a clear mission: provide exemplary eye care to patients in facilities that are purpose-built with their needs in mind.
What makes Centre for Sight different? Centre for Sight is based on Mr Daya’s vision that better surroundings can provide a higher standard of care. Today patients get to enjoy a spa-like or luxury hotel experience, rather than the dread of most hospital surgeries.
Is there anything else I should know? As you’d expect then, this clinic also comes with the price tag that accompanies a five-star experience. Yes, the facilities are kitted out with high-end diagnostic tech and quality lenses, backed up by a team of highly trained staff. But you leave all the fancy atmosphere behind the moment you step outside the clinic, and it won’t be a priority for everyone.

These costs are slightly above the average price range of £1,789 and £3,152 – high street clinics such as Optical Express and Ultralase were the cheapest places we found.
Here are the fixed costs of eye surgery at Centre for Sight:
- Laser eye surgery cost: £2,300 per eye (from £77 per month)
- IntraLASIK Supracor cost: £2,575 per eye (from £86 per month)

Centre for Sight also provides interest free pay monthly finance options over a generous 24 months – with some clinics, you’ll be paying 11% APR after the first year. As with most clinics, there’s a deposit of £500 to secure the surgery, but this cost comes off the total cost.

Our Testimonials
I had me vision corrected in March this year by Mr Giledi using the Zyoptix method. I work as a midwifery lecturer and have always been very sceptical of new medical interventions. The decision to go for the surgery did not come lightly and followed many years of debate and reviewing the research in this area. Eventually I decided the time was right and sort to find the best possible place to have the treatment done. The centre for sight came out as clear favourite in spite of their charges being higher than some clinics. I was extremely impressed with the care I received which was of an extremely high standard both during consultations and the procedure itself. I found the procedure itself quite traumatic but this was predominantly due to the fact that I was extremely nervous about the surgery. In fairness it was quite painless and over very quickly. I am absolutely delighted with the results and have been told I now have better than perfect vision! Certainly my vision is equal if not better than it ever was with contact lenses or glasses and my night vision is much improved. I can thoroughly recommend the treatment, which has had a huge impact on my life.
It's almost 2 months now since I went from -10.5 in both eyes to 20:20 vision with centre for sight. The feeling of sheer delight when I open my eyes in the morning and see clearly has yet to fade.
I was a very nervous patient and having to attend the clinic alone, while hubby dealt with 3 under fives made that worse. However, the staff went above and beyond the call of duty to look after me. I was treated like an old friend not a patient and was guided through the procedure with care. Many thanks to those who helped.
Mr Daya did a wonderful job as you would expect from such an excellent eye surgeon. He was highly recommended to me by a family eye surgeon so I knew I was in good hands from the start.
Because of my high prescription, wavefront was the favoured treatment for me as in my case it took away less corneal tissue.
Although bad news for the wallet ;-), it's been excellent news on the night vision front. Post surgery my night vision has improved. I still get some glare from lights but it's very defined rather than starburst and there's no halo-ing at all. Much better and far less distracting when driving.
I now look forward to a lifetime without myopia. Reading glasses will come in time I guess but not just yet and I don't miss my glasses or contact lenses at all, funnily enough.
I cannot recommend centre for sight enough. Their care and attention to detail will keep them as one of the country's leading centres for a long time.
Take the plunge, it's magic. :-))))))
I had laser surgery in March this year, after years of considering it and reading up about it, I finally took the plunge. No regrets!!!I went from -10 to perfect vision!!! I wish I had done it earlier. I do feel I have total freedom now. I am thankful thatI found the best surgeon around. Thank you Mr Daya.
It is now thirteen months since my initial surgery and I thought it appropriate to give a longer term opinion. My (sometimes lengthy!) previous posts detail the initial surgery and problems I experienced but I am pleased to say that my opinion of CFS and Mr Daya in particular have not changed. He has provided an exceptional level of care, along with his team, and has produced excellent results (Both eyes now 6/4). Whether contact by phone or email I have always had swift responses to queries and worries, as recently as yesterday I had another query answered, and this level of after care shows the commitment that Mr Daya and CFS continually show. My grateful thanks to all at CFS, I will certainly recommend them without hesitation. If anyone wishes to discuss the problems I had and CFS as an option please feel free to email me direct from the link on this post.
Superb.
