1. Review of AccuVision Laser Eye Clinic
Established in 2001, AccuVision is a popular destination for people seeking quality, affordable laser eye surgery. This clinic currently operates in five cities nationwide: London, Birmingham, Leeds, Bristol and Newcastle, and has performed over 40,000 treatments and counting.
What did independent inspectors find? According to the CQC’s latest report, there were no complaints between August 2016 and September 2017 from 1,011 refractive eye procedures carried out at AccuVision.
Is there anything else I should know? Most of the eye surgeons on our site enjoy five-star ratings, and the same is true for AccuVision. But it’s worth noting we only have 10 reviews for Dr Prashant Jindal.
Patients always want to find an ophthalmologist they feel comfortable with. That’s why it’s always a good idea to do your own research by trying to meet with your surgeon at an initial consultation, and many clinics offer these for free.

2. AccuVision Treatments
As well as common laser vision correction treatments – such as LASEK and LASIK with ultra-accurate Wavefront diagnostics – AccuVision also offers lens replacement surgery, including the UK’s most common surgical procedure: cataract surgery.
- LASIK eye surgery
- Trans-Epithelial Surface Treatment
- Lens replacement surgery
- ICL surgery (implantable contact lenses)
- Cataract surgery
- Amblyopia (lazy eye treatment)
So is it safe? AccuVision promises highly sophisticated, automated devices, with world-class Wavefront technology and the Alcon WaveLight EX500 Excimer laser. According to the clinic’s own study of 500 patients, everyone achieved at least driving standard vision following surgery (including repeat surgery).
3. AccuVision Laser Eye Clinic Prices
AccuVision’s prices are reasonable rates in laser eye surgery. On average, 800 patients told Lasik Eyes they paid £1,200 (per eye) for laser eye surgery, and £3,615 (per eye) for lens replacement surgery (including cataract surgery) – few clinics have lower starting prices.
AccuVision doesn’t publish a fixed price list, but here are the costs you can expect for the most popular eye surgeries:
- Consultation Price: Free for initial consultation
- LASIK Price: Average cost £2,400 for both eyes
- Trans-Epi Price: Average cost £2,400 for both eyes
- C3R Treatment Price: Average cost £2,000 per eye
Here’s how these prices compare to the eye surgery quotes offered by other clinics:

Eye surgery isn’t an insignificant cost for most people. That’s why AccuVision offers a 10 month finance option, which lets you spread the costs of surgery after the initial deposit into smaller monthly fees. You will need to pass a credit check with Hitachi Capital to gain approval for this payment plan.
That said, most clinics provide finance plans for much longer – up to three years, and also team up with health insurers who may cover at least some of the costs of the surgery (which AccuVision doesn’t).

Our Testimonials
I had this procedure done on the 24th April 2006, and it is the best thing that I have ever done.
For someone who has been wearing glasses for years, and could not see anything when I got up in the morning without the help of them, this treatment has been heaven sent. For me to be able to get up in the mornings and move around without looking for my glasses this is a miracle and I only had it done a few days ago.
The treatment it self was painless and after wards I only had a “gritty” feeling in my eyes which was bearable. All the staff and surgeons were fantastic and they kept me informed of what was going on and what was about to happen, both before and during the procedure.
I am very happy both with the service I recived at Accuvision, the staff and the results. I would recommend this treatment to anyone who is thinking of having it.
Thank you to all the Accuvision staff.
Had my surgery scheduled for 24th April and I must admit I was extremely anxious. But reading the reviews on this site made me feel better. The icing on the cake for me was getting in touch with so many lovely people some of whom have had surgery, and some like myself who were anxious. So as you can imagine when I read the review by “unhappy” I was now totally confused. I sat down and wrote out a list of questions for Mr Halliday that I would put to him, I would then decide whether or not to go ahead. I went along with the attitude that If I offended him by my questions then I would have considered that very unprofessional . Mr Halliday was not fazed by my questions (more like an interrogation really) he answered with clarity and I felt very confident that I had a Snr consultant surgeon and a fanatic support team on my side. So I had the surgery done and I was totally amazed at how quick and painless it was. I had no pain after, and only very slight stinging sensation. The bit I found the hardest was keeping my eyes closed for so long. I would recommend anyone planning to have this done go to the library and take out some audio books to keep yourself entertained.
My advise to anyone that has been thinking about having laser surgery at Accuvision and is now somewhat put off owing to the negative comments made , please do your self a favour go and have a Free consultation and list all your concerns on paper and don't be frightened to ask your questions. These Guys are professional. I am glad that I asked
I had laser surgery at the AccuVision clinic in Fulham on monday. I am posting this message as a very delighted patient. All the staff from the bird at the reception to the optometrist and the surgeon were absolutely fantastic.
I am still getting to terms with the fact that I wont need glasses ever again.
It's no surprise to me that AccuVision have a 100% positive rating on this site. The actual surgery only lasted about 8 minutes (that's 4 minutes per eye). The weird thing is it doesn't hurt. The whole thing was painless.
I felt a massive difference to my sight as soon as the surgery was over. When I left the clinic (ie about 30 minutes after surgery), I could read car number plates, road signs, the departure board at the train station!
This amazing experience will stay with me for the rest of my life. I'll definitely recommend AccuVision to anyone considering laser treatment.
I have worn glasses since I was three years old. I was severely long sighted and no clinic was able to offer me treatment as my prescription was considered to be to high (+6.75 and +5.00) Then I heard about accuvision and travelled from the lake district to london for a consultation. The service I received was fantastic and they were very honest about what I could expect due to having such a severe prescription. I decided to go ahead and I had the surgery done in monday. I was very nervous but the staff were fantastic and explained everything clearly and said I would feel no pain though it would be a little uncomfortable. Did it hurt? Absolutely not, it was the most amazing ten minute light show ever. First they clamp your eye which did not hurt at all then they get to work and ten minutes later its done. No pain at all during or after the procedure. I came out of the surgery and my son was in the waiting room and I had to sit with my eyes shut for ten minutes. After this I opened my eyes and could tell straight away that my vision was changed for the better. I Rested for the remainder of the day and put in drops as instructed. I awoke the next day and reached for my glasses as I have done for 43 years, realised I had eye shields on took them off and I could see the world like I have never seen it before. It is now wednesday, two days after the operation. I have had no pain or soreness, just a little sensation late at night like leaving a contact lens in too long. My vision is fantastic and I am sooooo happy after struggling with my vision all these years. This is without doubt one of the best things that has ever happened to me and it is worth every penny. If you have any doubts forget them and if you want the best go to accuvision – you won't regret it.
After a disappointing experience at Ultralase (you can read my experience in their page) I went to Accuvision for the initial check-up. It was a completely different story, staff was very friendly but what impressed me the most was that the outcome of each exams was discussed with me, I was shown graphs, numbers and explained their meaning and what they meant in terms of surgery for me. Because of the shape of my right eye, I was told that I was really borderline and that the only surgery they would perform is Epi-Lasik which is relatively new for the UK and was explained all the differences in terms of surgery and possible results. I went home and did a lot of reading about Lasek (offered by Ultralase) and Epi-Lasik and found the latter a much better and safer solution. Booked my surgery the day after. I had it on the 6th of February, the surgery was completely painless and so was the first week. I was told that Epi-Lasik can be more painful than Lasik but I did not feel pain at all, the first day I was in tears most of the time and the first 2-3 days I was very sensitive to light but that was it.
Yesterday I had my 6 week check-up, my left eye is 20/15 which is amazing and my right eye (which was the one difficult to predict) has 20/20. Night vision is very good too. I can only spot a slight difference in night vision acuity when I'm really tired.
I would not have any doubt in recommending Accuvision to anyone looking into eye surgery, it was the best thing I've ever done.
