1. Review of AccuVision Laser Eye Clinic
Established in 2001, AccuVision is a popular destination for people seeking quality, affordable laser eye surgery. This clinic currently operates in five cities nationwide: London, Birmingham, Leeds, Bristol and Newcastle, and has performed over 40,000 treatments and counting.
What did independent inspectors find? According to the CQC’s latest report, there were no complaints between August 2016 and September 2017 from 1,011 refractive eye procedures carried out at AccuVision.
Is there anything else I should know? Most of the eye surgeons on our site enjoy five-star ratings, and the same is true for AccuVision. But it’s worth noting we only have 10 reviews for Dr Prashant Jindal.
Patients always want to find an ophthalmologist they feel comfortable with. That’s why it’s always a good idea to do your own research by trying to meet with your surgeon at an initial consultation, and many clinics offer these for free.

2. AccuVision Treatments
As well as common laser vision correction treatments – such as LASEK and LASIK with ultra-accurate Wavefront diagnostics – AccuVision also offers lens replacement surgery, including the UK’s most common surgical procedure: cataract surgery.
- LASIK eye surgery
- Trans-Epithelial Surface Treatment
- Lens replacement surgery
- ICL surgery (implantable contact lenses)
- Cataract surgery
- Amblyopia (lazy eye treatment)
So is it safe? AccuVision promises highly sophisticated, automated devices, with world-class Wavefront technology and the Alcon WaveLight EX500 Excimer laser. According to the clinic’s own study of 500 patients, everyone achieved at least driving standard vision following surgery (including repeat surgery).
3. AccuVision Laser Eye Clinic Prices
AccuVision’s prices are reasonable rates in laser eye surgery. On average, 800 patients told Lasik Eyes they paid £1,200 (per eye) for laser eye surgery, and £3,615 (per eye) for lens replacement surgery (including cataract surgery) – few clinics have lower starting prices.
AccuVision doesn’t publish a fixed price list, but here are the costs you can expect for the most popular eye surgeries:
- Consultation Price: Free for initial consultation
- LASIK Price: Average cost £2,400 for both eyes
- Trans-Epi Price: Average cost £2,400 for both eyes
- C3R Treatment Price: Average cost £2,000 per eye
Here’s how these prices compare to the eye surgery quotes offered by other clinics:

Eye surgery isn’t an insignificant cost for most people. That’s why AccuVision offers a 10 month finance option, which lets you spread the costs of surgery after the initial deposit into smaller monthly fees. You will need to pass a credit check with Hitachi Capital to gain approval for this payment plan.
That said, most clinics provide finance plans for much longer – up to three years, and also team up with health insurers who may cover at least some of the costs of the surgery (which AccuVision doesn’t).

Our Testimonials
I visited Accuvision in Solihull last week for my initial consultation after researching several clinics and readig all the Health Care Commision Reports. Accuvision scored very highly especially in the standard of their surgeons. I have booked surgery for September 25th. So far i am very impressed by the clinic with my only negative comment being the layout of the reception area, I did feel like I had to wander about to find reception as it was in a room off the waiting area, however I think this is down to the lack of overall space in the premises. At the end of the day though who cares about reception desks as long as they do a great job! the optomerist(?) I met with was excellent, vry thorough and patient answering questions he must have a million times before. After the consultation the Receptionist talked me through the booking procedure etc and was very soft sell with no pressure at all to book there and then, which was nice. I will update you after next Tuesday.
Review of Accuvision – Fulham Branch
I always dreamt of waking up in the morning and being able to see without the aid of glasses. After wearing glasses (and contacts) for over 22 years, a chat with my Brother and Sister in law persuaded me to have the consultation. Last Friday (7th Sept), I finally plucked up the courage to have the surgery. I was quite nervous but I needn't have been as the staff throughout were professional. They relaxed me by talking to me throughout the short procedure (the actual surgery taking approximately 5 mins an eye). It was painless and after it was done I wondered why I had screwed myself up so much. The fear of the unknown I guess. Revisiting the waiting room after surgery was surreal as the need for glasses no longer existed!
I am now 2 days on from surgery and I am so pleased with the outcome. I would throughly recommend the procedure to anyone and thank Accuvision for changing my life.
Today (13th Sept, I have just been for my week check up and have been told that my vision is 20/20 and could get better. A dream come true and all down to Accuvision.

4 months down the line – vision is excellent, slightly dry eyes when I wake up, but no other problems. Go for it!
I researched Lasik Surgery thoroughly and have been patiently waiting for the right service to suit me, after wearing contact lenses for more than 30 years. Accuvision Solihull arranged the suitablility tests on the morning of 26.07.07 and 1 had the surgery an hour later, by my request, because I find the waiting is the worst.
The results are brilliant. My dominant eye is now better than 20/20, before it was -4. My left eye has not been fully corrected – this way I have perfect vision close up! I very quickly got use to the separate strengths of vision in my eyes and it means I don't have to wear reading glasses. Also I am lucky because I had dry eyes before surgery – I know its only been 5 weeks, but I have great vision and no dry eyes!
Solihull has specific days when surgery is carried out, so several clients are in the waiting room together. I found it reassuring to see others return from surgery (less than 5 minutes) and wait until they were recalled for their final check before returning home. There were clients there who had had surgery the day before, the week before and the month before. You could guess which was which by the width of their smiles!
YES, our eyes are so sensitive any thought of something touching them, never mind a laser, is a bit frightening! You have to have total trust in the clinic you choose.
My Accuvision surgeon was great, precise and positive. He talked me through the whole 5 minutes I was with him. It didn't hurt at all – Course I was frightened, there was this red light and a funny smell and 10 seconds of slight pressure! But you know, when he said “That's great, now we'll do the other eye.” I felt, 'That was a piece of cake” I can do this!
I was thanked for trusting the surgeon with my eyes.
I wouldn't hesitate in recommending these guys to any of my clients, friends or family. They are professional in their care, ABILITY and concern of all their clients. Don't forget, of course the surgery is of vital importance, but it goes hand in hand with the honesty of what can and cannot be achieved, what the consequences are likely to be and the aftercare programme.
In time, and I hope its a long time – my eyes will naturally need reading glasses and unfortunately surgery cannot correct this. When this happens I won't hesitate to return to Accuvision to fully correct my left eye so that I will have 20/20 long sight. I hope all the Solihull staff will still be there then… you can't improve on perfection.
I had lasik in June 2002 and I have just had an eye check up on 28th August 2007, 5 years later and I have 20/20 vision in both eyes which is wonderful. I was told after my surgery my eyes were one line better than 20/20 but that I need not worry as that is just a trace and the eyes will not flucuate any lower but every few years will go back to a line better than 20/20 and then may go back to 20/20 again but not any lower which is great so whatever happens I know I will have 20/20 vision and that the vision won't get worse. Before surgery I had very poor vision, approx -6 and -7 and even with my glasses I never had 20/20 vision, I was one line below 20/20 before the op with my glasses or contact lenses. My eyes have never felt better, I have no side effects, and colours are still so much brighter and everything so much clearer, a whole new world. Eyes are priceless and to this day I am so happy I trusted Accusion with my eyes, it is truly the best place. It is fantastic to be able to wake up and see and I am so grateful that I was given this opportunity and thank the surgeon Mr Jacobs and the whole Team. Darius saw me when I came for a check up and recognised me after all those years, remembering all my questions and nerves, even though I trusted Accusion I couldn't help feeling nervous but have never regretted trusting Accusion with my eyes. Anyone who is thinking of eye surgery please don't even consider having it done anywhere else other than Accusion. Thank you all again from the bottom of my heart.
