1. Review of AccuVision Laser Eye Clinic
Established in 2001, AccuVision is a popular destination for people seeking quality, affordable laser eye surgery. This clinic currently operates in five cities nationwide: London, Birmingham, Leeds, Bristol and Newcastle, and has performed over 40,000 treatments and counting.
What did independent inspectors find? According to the CQC’s latest report, there were no complaints between August 2016 and September 2017 from 1,011 refractive eye procedures carried out at AccuVision.
Is there anything else I should know? Most of the eye surgeons on our site enjoy five-star ratings, and the same is true for AccuVision. But it’s worth noting we only have 10 reviews for Dr Prashant Jindal.
Patients always want to find an ophthalmologist they feel comfortable with. That’s why it’s always a good idea to do your own research by trying to meet with your surgeon at an initial consultation, and many clinics offer these for free.

2. AccuVision Treatments
As well as common laser vision correction treatments – such as LASEK and LASIK with ultra-accurate Wavefront diagnostics – AccuVision also offers lens replacement surgery, including the UK’s most common surgical procedure: cataract surgery.
- LASIK eye surgery
- Trans-Epithelial Surface Treatment
- Lens replacement surgery
- ICL surgery (implantable contact lenses)
- Cataract surgery
- Amblyopia (lazy eye treatment)
So is it safe? AccuVision promises highly sophisticated, automated devices, with world-class Wavefront technology and the Alcon WaveLight EX500 Excimer laser. According to the clinic’s own study of 500 patients, everyone achieved at least driving standard vision following surgery (including repeat surgery).
3. AccuVision Laser Eye Clinic Prices
AccuVision’s prices are reasonable rates in laser eye surgery. On average, 800 patients told Lasik Eyes they paid £1,200 (per eye) for laser eye surgery, and £3,615 (per eye) for lens replacement surgery (including cataract surgery) – few clinics have lower starting prices.
AccuVision doesn’t publish a fixed price list, but here are the costs you can expect for the most popular eye surgeries:
- Consultation Price: Free for initial consultation
- LASIK Price: Average cost £2,400 for both eyes
- Trans-Epi Price: Average cost £2,400 for both eyes
- C3R Treatment Price: Average cost £2,000 per eye
Here’s how these prices compare to the eye surgery quotes offered by other clinics:

Eye surgery isn’t an insignificant cost for most people. That’s why AccuVision offers a 10 month finance option, which lets you spread the costs of surgery after the initial deposit into smaller monthly fees. You will need to pass a credit check with Hitachi Capital to gain approval for this payment plan.
That said, most clinics provide finance plans for much longer – up to three years, and also team up with health insurers who may cover at least some of the costs of the surgery (which AccuVision doesn’t).

Our Testimonials
fabulous clinic- no need to look any further!!! go for it. you will not ‘LOOK’ back!!!
well trained clinicians were always there to reassure and guide.
best decision i ever made was to have my eye surgery carried out at this clinic. trust your eyes with no one else!!!!
Whilst I considered this type of treatment my main concern was that I didn’t wanted to be treated like a number. There are more and more ‘clinics’ offering this type of treatment but rarely giving 100% customer satisfaction and good service. I needn’t had worried with Accuvision. Through recommendation from a friend I took the plunge and am so glad I did. My only regret is that I should have made the decision earlier. Foggy vision at first but cleared in 1 day. (I was short sighted with an astigmatism). The ‘op’ (if you can call it that) doesn’t hurt its just a little uncomfortable.
They detail the various stages, are very friendly, but remaining professional as well. They will answer ANY questions you have.
I thought the cost was a little higher than expected but that was soon put to rest when I have just received a dentist bill for well over a £1,000 and not too sure if I really benefit from it as much as seeing properly again without glasses !!!!
A Big THUMBS UP for Accuvision from me
Booked in for surgery last Thursday (6/12/07, 10:00 am) and I was a tad nervous – what if it all went wrong??? No need to worry though, the team at Accuvison in Solihull went through the procedure with me again, explained what would happen, re-tested my eyes and asked me if I was sure I wanted to go ahead and if I understood the possibilities of failure and how they would correct it if they didn’t get it right first time. All very re-assuring.
When it came to my time for the op, they were all very friendly, talking to me all the way though it, making sure I was still breathing (!). It was the weirdest thing, having your eyelids clamped back, it going dark then light again then the smell of burnt eyeball (uuurgh!), followed by the soothing drench of cooling solution before the flap is flipped back and the protective lens is put in. All done in a couple of minutes per eye. Within 15 mins of going in I was sitting back up, and able to see, albeit a bit blurred and foggy to begin with. 15 mins waiting for things to stabilize, a quick but efficient check to make sure the flap was down straight with no wrinkles and that was it, I was free to go.
For the rest of the day I slept at home, and by teatime I was able to see quite clearly, although my close-up vision was pants. I was disappointed by this as before the op I was able to see to read very easily. Anyway, I carried on putting in the eye drops til bedtime. I had no pain, and no real discomfort – my eyes just felt like I had old contacct lenses in, kinda gritty but not painful.
The next day I woke up and I could see distance quite well, although it was a bit foggier than the night before. Still couldn’t see to read properly though. Carried on with the drops, and toddled off for my check-up that afternoon. I could see well enough to drive.
Told them when I got there about the foggy vision and the way my eyes felt and Nick just flipped out the protective lenses and WOW, what a difference. All the fogginess disappeared, my close vision came back (although not as well as before) and distance vision was clear. What a wonderful feeling. My eyes were healing very well and when I did the eye-test I had better than 20/20 vision. Kewl!!
Each day since then it has got better and better and my close up vision is coming back. Nick explained that it will take a while for my brain to get used to things, but for me this is just about the best money I’ve spent in a long time. It was sheer joy being able to go and buy a pair of sunglasses!! :)
A big thank you to all at Accuvision in Solihull, especially Bernard Gastain (the Surgeon), Nick Daish and Vikash Patel (optometrists). If you’re considering it I can highly recommend you have a chat with them, its a very pleasant experience dealing with professionals who put no pressure on you to buy their services, just explain it all clearly and let you make up your own mind.
I am a pianist and musical director for the Royal Shakespeare Company, so my vision is absolutely crucial to my job. It was also an issue for me sometimes having to appear on stage without wearing glasses etc. I had considered laser surgery on and off for a number of years, but was squeamish about even wearing contacts, before deciding to take the plunge, and after doing some research opted for Accuvision in Solihull.
My prescription was not too severe so I was told I would be an ideal candidate for Wavefront. I found the procedure to be totally painless and much less stressful than I was expecting. The surgeon was excellent at keeping things relaxed and letting me know what I needed to do.
My recovery experience has been pretty much what was predicted – some lights at night had a halo like glow around them which faded over a couple of weeks or so. This aspect was of particular importance to me as I work in an orchestra pit or dark back stage areas etc, while having to read music scores under bright, localized lights – so I am very pleased that this side effect has been only temporary. My eyes felt a little dry at times and slightly ached initially but again these effects have not lasted.
At my one month check up, I was informed my vision was 130%, so I am absolutely delighted with the results and would whole heartedly recommend Accuvision to anyone considering Laser surgery.
Excellent service before during and after operation with no hard sell. Delighted with result.
