1. Review of AccuVision Laser Eye Clinic
Established in 2001, AccuVision is a popular destination for people seeking quality, affordable laser eye surgery. This clinic currently operates in five cities nationwide: London, Birmingham, Leeds, Bristol and Newcastle, and has performed over 40,000 treatments and counting.
What did independent inspectors find? According to the CQC’s latest report, there were no complaints between August 2016 and September 2017 from 1,011 refractive eye procedures carried out at AccuVision.
Is there anything else I should know? Most of the eye surgeons on our site enjoy five-star ratings, and the same is true for AccuVision. But it’s worth noting we only have 10 reviews for Dr Prashant Jindal.

2. AccuVision Treatments
As well as common laser vision correction treatments – such as LASEK and LASIK with ultra-accurate Wavefront diagnostics – AccuVision also offers lens replacement surgery, including the UK’s most common surgical procedure: cataract surgery.

So is it safe? AccuVision promises highly sophisticated, automated devices, with world-class Wavefront technology and the Alcon WaveLight EX500 Excimer laser. AccuVision’s prices are reasonable rates in laser eye surgery. On average, 800 patients told Lasik Eyes they paid £1,200 (per eye) for laser eye surgery, and £3,615 (per eye) for lens replacement surgery (including cataract surgery) – few clinics have lower starting prices.

Eye surgery isn’t an insignificant cost for most people. That’s why AccuVision offers a 10 month finance option, which lets you spread the costs of surgery after the initial deposit into smaller monthly fees. You will need to pass a credit check with Hitachi Capital to gain approval for this payment plan.
That said, most clinics provide finance plans for much longer – up to three years, and also team up with health insurers who may cover at least some of the costs of the surgery (which AccuVision doesn’t).

I had my eyes corrected 18 months ago (May 2008) with AccuVision & found their service FANTASTIC! I went to 3 clinics (Optical Express & Ultralase). OE did not inspire any confidence & UL were very good but wanted £4000! AccuVision charged me £1700 (I had astigmatism in both eyes & was short sighted too). I’d heard very good things about AccuVision from a work colleague so went for the free initial consultation. The staff were really nice & explained everything (the benefits as well as the inevitable slight risks) and left me to decide what I wanted to do. There was no hard sell whatsoever. I decided to go ahead & the procedure was exactly as they described. No pain – it felt ‘intense’ – like going to the dentist & sitting in the seat very still while they did their stuff. The results straight afterwards were great – over the next couple of days my sight got better & better (I was safe to drive the next day). I went back after 12 months for the final checks – I now have better that 20/20 vision!!!
They are so good I’ve just taken my wife there to get her eyes corrected (she’s having problems reading now)!
I have always been sceptical about laser eye surgery, but decided to take the plunge with Accuvision. To be honest I was initially booked in with Optical Express but changed my mind within a week, bigger company doesn’t always mean better. I took the Trans-Ephithelial surface procedure, I was impressed with the overall experience from my initial consultation to the post-ops, the service was 100% consistent and the staff were always very friendly. The procedure was pain free, and every step explained but I would definitely recommend taking 5 days at least to allow your eyes to settle if your considering Trans-Epithelial. Other than that it’s the best thing I have ever done.
