Mr Manek Patel Reviews
Hi, I had Lasek eye surgery 3 weeks ago. I am so happy I went with Optical express, I had my surgery in the Westfield shopping centre branch. Dr Manek did the procedure, he put me at ease and chatted throughout the surgery to keep my mind off the surgery. The surgery was fine I felt a little hazy afterwards but managed to get a little bit of shopping in before I went home. I went straight to sleep when I went home and my eyes felt sensitive to the light for the next couple of days. I received phone calls from the Optometrist checking how I was doing after the surgery and the staff were all very friendly when I went in for my post op check-ups.My vision is perfect now! I’m really happy I went through with the surgery, I would recommend it to anyone thinking about getting it done! I have some vouchers for £150 off if you want one just drop me an email firstname.lastname@example.org
Had my Lasek with Manel Patel 1 month ago. Totally put me at ease considering this was an enhancement. 1 month on and I have 20/20 vision.
The surgeon and all the technicians were so friendly and really put me at ease..I was very nervous! But I had no reason to be; it was all over so quickly! and I could literally see straight away, although I tried to keep my eyes shut for the rest of the evening. I woke the next day with perfect vision.I had no bad side affects other than a few days of dry eyes (after I stopped taking the steroid drops). But they are fine now, I wish I had had the surgery ages ago! - I'm so happy with my treatment and the after care is great. I would recommend laser surgery to everyone. Especially with the discount vouchers they offer; £150.00 off surgery on the refer a friend scheme. Although surgery can be a bit expensive, it is definitely worth every penny!
The staff at Optical Express were really kind and all very knowledgable (most having had the surgery!) I was a bit nervous during the surgery but all the technicians told me exactly what was going on so I felt reassured. I could see literally straight away but I did as I was told for the rest of the day and went to sleep for a couple of hours..then I tried not to focus on anything for the rest of the day, the next day I woke and and was reading absolutely everything, clear as a bell!! i now have better than 20/20! I took all my drops as prescribed and had no bad side affects..I'm still taking the moisture drops occasionally as I work on a computer all day and they sometimes get a bit dry, but its AMAZING, I'm SO pleased I had it done, and would recommend it to everyone! The website is good too as you can read about your surgeon before hand ..and see how much practice they've had ;) it really helped put my mind at rest! And I have monthly check ups; very efficient! - Its worth every penny!
My husband and I both had laser eye surgery at Optical Express on 13th March 2012 and are very pleased with the results. I had intralease- Lasik and my husband had Wavefront - Lasik.
Great results. Achieved 20/20 vision. Should have done long ago.I would recommend Optical Express.
i had my lasik wavefront intralase surgery on the sat 9th march at the shaftsbury avenue branch of optical express and my surgeon was mr manek patel.(the best). im a person who is scared of everything but decided to go for the op.i was -3.00 in both eyes and i now have better than 20/20 vision and so happy!!!!!!!!it was over within around 7 minutes, quick and painless.the nurses were really helpfull and put me at eaese. im just so happy i can see. thank you
I had LASIK eye surgery with Dr Manek Patel at the Shaftesbury Avenue Optical Express a month ago and am extremely happy with the result. I only wish that I had had it done sooner. Dr Patel is a very experienced surgeon and he and the other medical staff were very professional which put me at ease straight away. The surgery was unbelievably quick and painless and the recovery also very quick. I had a bit of discomfort (itchy sore eyes) a few hours after the surgery but that had gone by the next day, and the day after that I was back at work. I now have better than 20/20 vision. The surgery wasn\’t cheap as I was very short-sighted in my left eye, but I would definitely recommend it and definitely recommend Dr Patel.
Mr Manek Patel should not be a surgeon , he does not how to speak to speak to people and he comes across very rude and he did not reassure me in anyway, he is a total prat and should retite pretty soon Optical Express in Uxbridge , the staff and useless and standing doing alot of talking, when you come on the place no one greets you in a professional manner, instead you are given looks like you just slpet with their mother
