Mr Dimitri Kazakos

I unfortunately had some complications during my treatment which meant interrupting, and restarting the treatment to cut the trapdoor in both eyes. MrKazakov was clam and reassuring throughout which helped to relieve my anxiety. Mr Kalakos had a lovely, kind and personable manner, I'd recommend him without reserve to anyone else having this treatment.

I had my standard mechanical LASIK surgery on 27/3/09 in Dublin. At all times before and after surgery Mr. Kazakos and his staff made me feel totally at ease.Although my eyesight before surgery was only slightly short sighted i noticed an immediate difference within a half an hour of surgery.I am no over two weeks after surgery and eyesight is better than 20/20.I would have no hesitation in recommending Mr. Kazakos to any of my friends or family.

I had the Lasik procedure performed on 9 April, just one week ago and it is life changing! I still feel that it was all a dream and that I will wake up and have to reach for my glasses in the morning! Apart from the misty vision immediately after and a bit of streaming due to light sensitivity my vision is now 20/20, I am looking at the world through new eyes. Thank you to all the team at Optical Express, Cribbs Causeway and a special thank you to Dimitri Kazakos for making me feel so relaxed prior to the procedure, for answering any questions I had and for his total reassurance/confidence regarding the procedure. I had the Lasik Acu Wavefront Intralase procedure done at the Dublin branch of Optical Express in Wellington Road on Thurs 5 Feb 2009. I was short-sighted with a prescription of -3.00 and -3.25, but now have better than 20/20 vision! Mr Dimitris Kazakos performed the surgery and he was excellent, very professional and friendly and he put me at my ease immediately. He explained what he was doing at each stage and it passed very quickly. I had it all over in about 10 minutes. Afterwards I was taken in to the very comfortable waiting room where my after care routine was very clearly explained to me by Paul, one of the surgical assistants. I could have actually left after half an hour but my lift wasn't coming for a couple of hours so I was kindly allowed to continue waiting in the room and relax until my lift arrived. Apart from some grittiness directly after the procedure I have had no problems at all. I have two small children under 3 and the convenience of not having to bother with glasses and contact lenses has been amazing, it is well worth the money. I would highly recommend Dimitris and Optical Express!

I had my eye surgery done on Monday 27th April in Belfast, Mr Kazakos put me at ease as I relaxed and listened to the back ground music (should I stay or should I go now) and am I glad I stayed... I was back working, driving and all within 48 hours having had excellent results from my surgery. I would fully recommend this to all my friends and family and would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr Kazakos for the excellent job done.

I had my LASIK eye surgery done in the belfast branch on 30/04/2009 by Dr. Dimitri Kazakos and I am thrilled with the result, my only regret is not having it done sooner. I live in Dublin but opted for the Belfast branch because I got a better deal having the procedure done up there. I had my consultation in Ballsbridge and am having my aftercare also in Ballsbridge. I found every member of staff that I met right from the beginning were very kind, considerate and hepful and would like to take this opportunity to thank all of them. My procedure was totally pain free and it was over in no time. My sight was very good when I was leaving the clinic and by Friday 01/05/2009 I had 20/20 vision and had no itchiness, tiredness or any other side effects - it was terrific. My prescription was -5.00 in both eyes and I also have a slight astigmatism. Having been wearing glasses for 31 years it is a great feeling knowing I can go about normal daily tasks without thinking of glasses or contact lenses any more. I would recommend Optical express and all its staff members to anyone thionking of having laser eye surgery done without any hesitation. Thanks a million.

I had my Wavefront Intralase LASIK surgery performed by Dr Dimitri Kazakos 20 hours ago and already i can see how my vision has improved.Dr Dimitri was very professional and put me at ease immediately. He took time to answer my concerns prior surgery and explained what he was doing at every step of the procedure - making me feel relaxed and safe.Dr Dimitri has a very caring nature, this coupled with his expertise, I felt very fortunate to have him as my surgeon.

Mr Dimitri Kazakos performed by enhancement surgery in May 2009. I had the original procedure done in July 2008 and although it was a vast improvement and I didn't need glasses anymore, it just wasn't perfect. I deliberated whether to go for the re-enhancement and thank god I did! The results are fantastic. Mr Kazakos was very relaxing, played background music and very informative. I had no pain at any stage during or following the surgery and was able to watch Eastenders that night!! For anyone whose sight isn't perfect after the initial surgery, please do go and get the re-enhancement - its certainly worth it. My original vision was -5.00 in both eyes and is now +0.50 and -0.50. It is anticipated over the next few months both eyes will regulate to near 0.00.

I had Wavefront Intralase Lasik surgery last Wednesday (6th May) at the Harley Street Clinic. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome and everyone was really friendly and put me at my ease. Mr Kazakos was wonderful, answering all my questions and he made me feel that I was in safe hands. The actual surgery took less than 10 minutes and I felt no pain at all. When we left the clinic 30 minutes post op my eyes were very watery and were stinging quite a bit in the light. I had my sunglasses on but felt that all I wanted to do was close my eyes. As we had a 2 hours journey home by train this was not that easy! I did manage to keep them closed though. On returning home I rested for 1 hour and after that my eyes felt fine. No more stinging or streaming. My near vision was very good but my distance was still quite blurry.When I went for my 24 hour check up I was told my eyes were inflamed and to use the anti-inflammatory drops every hour. I then had to return 2 days later. On that return I was told they were still inflamed and to carry on with the hourly drops and return again in 2 days. During this time my eyes felt absolutely fine although I was still having problems with distance vision although this is slowing improving day by day. I went back on Monday to be told to keep up the hourly drops and to use the lubricating drops hourly as well. I have to back tomorrow for my week check up and hopefully the inflammation will have gone down.Overall I am very pleased with the result although I am still waiting for the perfect distance vision that a lot of people seem to get immediately! I was told that as my prescription was quite high (7.5/6.5) that my distance vision would maybe take longer to return. Fingers crossed! I have also found that by the end of the day my eyes feel quite tired and my distance vision is worse than first thing in the morning. I would recommend Mr Kazakos and the Harley Street clinic to anyone considering surgery. It is amazing not to wear contact lenses or glasses after 20 plus years!

I had Refractive Lens Exchange Surgery with Multifocal Lenses carried out on my left eye on the 4/5/09 and on my right eye on the 7/5/09 by Mr Dimitri Kazakos at Colindale surgery in London, then my first inspection at Harley Street clinic on the first day after my surgery. I have been to Southampton Optical Express store for my first week inspection and I now have better than 20/20 vision. My treatment by Mr Dimitri Kazakos was first class he explained ever thing to me in full detail and his team was first class. I have had no pain with any of my surgery and very little discomfort since, I would recommend this to any one because I can now work on my computer without any glasses, also I do not need glasses for any other reasons. All I can say now is thank you to Mr Dimitri Kazakos.
