Ultralase

Fantastic and friendly service! I can now after two months see absolutely perfectly. I should have done this years ago. My friend and I, who also had the assessment and treatment at the same time, are so delighted that we are telling everyone about it. At our last eye test we both have vision better than 20/20! The staff at Chester made the expereice so pleasurable. They all made us feel very special and everyone was extremely friendly. The staff at Ultralase were excellent and made me feel completely at ease. I couldn't belive how quickly the treatment worked and I could see perfectly to drive the next day! My friend went to ultralase and had her eyes done too after she had seen how pleased I was with the results.

I have worn contact lenses for 17 years, my prescription -4.75.The staff at guildford were fantastic so calming and very proffesional, the treatment was over so quickly and straight away Ii could tell the difference, this procedure has changed my life, evenings out are so clear when driving and no dirty contacts to deal with or sore eyes the next morning..I would recommend this treatment my vision is now better than 20/20...one word to sum up would be FANTASTIC

I really can't praise Ultralase enough with regards to their professionalism and genuine care for their patients. I was absolutely terrified about having my eyes lasered (it took me 4 years to pluck up the courage to wear contact lenses!) but they immediately put me at ease and I am amazed at the results. The only really painful part about the whole procedure is being unable to wear eye make up for a fortnight. I think I was the guniea pig for a lot of people in my office but now they are all making appointments to have it done. If I can do it, anybody can.

From start to finish, the staff at the Ultralase clinic in Birmingham were friendly and helpful. They didn't mind how many questions how asked, no matter how stupid they seemed! On the treatment day, I was put at ease and knew what to expect. As vision in my right eye was not very short sighted, I only had my left eye treated. Although I had originally said I would have both eyes treated, I was not pressurised in any way to have them both done. The treatment was successful and the staff have continued to be helpful when I have attended my after-care appointments. I would recommend Ultralase to anyone considering laser eye surgery as a friendly, helpful organisation with no pressure to have treatment if you are not entirely convinced it is right for you.

I had LASIK surgery at the Guildford Ultralase in November 2003. It's unbelievable! Having worn glasses since I was 6yrs old and having been unable to wear contact lenses, the freedom is incredible. The staff were lovely and so thorough that I felt very reassured and in good hands. It's been so life changing for me that I have recommended the treatment to a number of people - I still can't believe how well it turned out!

With a prescription need of minus 9 I had already been turned down by one laser clinic who said my only option was implantable contact lenses. When I went for my consultancy with Ultralase it was very thorough and my results suggested that there was a possibility that I could undergo LASIK. The optician took away my results to discuss with the surgeon and then contacted me a few days later to give me the good news. I underwent Ultra LASIK a week later and it was explained to me that I would be left with a slight prescription need. The staff at Ultralase were extremely thorough and I found the procedure painless and unproblematic. After a few hours of experiencing light sensitivity I went to bed and awoke to no sensitivity and the ability to see well for the first time ever. A week later I am achieving 20/20 vision and my sight is still improving each day. I am absolutely thrilled with the results and would have no hesitation in recommending Ultralase.

I had wavefront-guided LASEK in June 2004 and right from the moment the procedure was finished I was delighted with the results, I simply sat up and I could see. It was just an incredible feeling for me having needed glasses or lenses since I was eight and would recommend it to anyone. Personnally I had no hesitation, it was a natural reaction for me to discuss the decision with loved ones and was shocked when my Mum said go for it when I was expecting her to be nervous, in her day Contact lenses were a new thing and she was put off them by a lot of people she knew but eventually in her 30's decided to go for it and now regrets all those years she sufferred with glasses, so she was determined to support this new treatment as it is just the next step up from glasses.....and believe me its been the ultimate one for me. I went to the barrier reef in Australia 10 years ago but could not wear glasses or contact lenses to snorkle so I missed seeing so much, now I am looking forward to going back again next year to see everything with fresh eyes. Having a healthcare background meant that I was very careful about the potential of laser eye treatment, both positively and negatively. I did a lot of research on treatment providers, as you can never be too careful with your eyes. When I visited Ultralase in Leeds I was greeted by not only a friendly and efficient receptionist but also a clean, organised clinic environment that immediately instilled confidence. All of my questions were answered thoroughly and honestly and even any irrational fears were professionally dealt with. The extent of the pre-treatment testing was a real comfort to me. I also really valued the approach the staff took towards allowing me adequate time to consider my decision over whether to go through with the treatment or not. I did not feel pressured in any way throughout the process. The treatment itself was absolutely painless and was over in no time at all. After approximately an hour my vision had improved significantly and by the following day I had 6/5 vision in one eye and 6/6 in the other. My year of after care was astounding, everyone was so thorough and genuinely helpful. I had minor problems with one eye becoming a little dry but again I was looked after superbly. 2 years on and now my vision has settled to 6/4 which is better than I could ever have hoped for. It means that I can live my life completely free of glasses and contact lenses. I can enjoy the extreme challenges and sports in my life, that I love, without restriction. I would say that I have become an informed advocate of LASIK and I can only say a great big THANK YOU to Ultralase for giving me my vision back.

My whole experience with Ultralase was excellent, I couldn't fault it one bit. The service was excellent, I felt like I was the only one who they were treating. The professionalism was first rate and it was very re-assuring to feel that they knew what they were doing and took great care of all their patients. The operation itself was a breeze and went very smoothly, I always felt safe and that they were in control. I would and have recommended Ultralase to any of my friends who have asked about my operation. The only downside to the treatment was that my fiance preferred me in glasses so she was most upset with Ultralase!!!
