I had Ultra-Lasik on the 14th May 2004, the whole experience was excellent, its was a painless process, quick, and the results brillant. I used to be a -8 in both eyes with a bad Astigmatism, i can now see to Driving Standard without Glasses or Lenses. I would recommend Ultralase to anyone thinking of having surgery, mainly because they treat you like an individual and they have different types of treatment that are tailor made to your own eyes. The iris recognition is really cool, I am totaly impressed with my new lease of live. Thankyou Ultralase.

It is 2 weeks since my lasik treatment and I am absolutely thrilled with the results. It is a strange but painless procedure. The only discomfort I experienced was light sensitivity an hour later. I followed instructions,taking paracetamol and resting in a dark room. 4 hours later I could open my eyes and see!!! Now I wish I`d had treament sooner. I am so happy and can recommend to anyone suitable for treamtent to go for it!!!

I (and my partner) attended the St. Albans clinic some six weeks ago for our respective treatments. The decision to proceed having been taken after about two years of wondering. Well we need not have had any reservations, firstly the clinic and staff are first class and more thorough than anything i've ever experienced. I had the "full works" wavefront etc. Having been very shortsighted since about the age of 10 (a good few years ago), I can now see without glasses things which i'm sure most people take for granted - a clear view when shaving, see my friends and family across the other side of the swimming pool - no longer shouting out to complete strangers. I can see the time on the radio alarm ACROSS THE ROOM. The operation is painless and quick, listen to the instruction and advice given and quite frankly you can't go wrong. My nearsight (reading ability) is still improving daily and I find myself less dependant on reading glasses. If you had any doubts at all I can tell you that it is the best investment I have made to date. Well done Ultralase and thank you. Oh yes - nearly forgot - I can now wear some pretty cool sunglasses as well!

I was pleasantly surprised with how pain free and simple the procedure was. The staff made the whole experience a joy. The results are well worth wearing those very fetching eye shields at night for the first couple of weeks after treatment! If you are considering Lasik - go for it, you won't regret it.

From start to finish the whole thing has been brilliant. The staff at St. Albans are all so very professional but able to be friendly at the same time. The best bit for me was sitting up after the procedure was done and being able to see the time on my watch without having to bring my wrist up to within two inches of my face! The result was immediate. And it continued to get better; I was driving again after 6 days and back at work a few days after that. My eyes had always been very poor, the left one was -4 and the right one was a whopping -9! So to go from being heavily dependant on contact lenses to absolutely nothing has been great. Pre laser surgery my routine was very regimented. I would sleep with my glasses within touching distance, have to wear them to get to the bathroom to put my lenses in, then I would leave my glasses in an exact spot for the evening, to do the reverse. My morning (and evening) routine is at least 10 minutes shorter now, which to me is 10 minutes longer in bed! To anybody thinking about having this done, I'd say it's the best thing that I have ever done. I'm now 33 and I've been wearing glasses since the age of 4, it feels like a life sentence has been lifted!
