1. Review of AccuVision Laser Eye Clinic
Established in 2001, AccuVision is a popular destination for people seeking quality, affordable laser eye surgery. This clinic currently operates in five cities nationwide: London, Birmingham, Leeds, Bristol and Newcastle, and has performed over 40,000 treatments and counting.
What did independent inspectors find? According to the CQC’s latest report, there were no complaints between August 2016 and September 2017 from 1,011 refractive eye procedures carried out at AccuVision.
Is there anything else I should know? Most of the eye surgeons on our site enjoy five-star ratings, and the same is true for AccuVision. But it’s worth noting we only have 10 reviews for Dr Prashant Jindal.
Patients always want to find an ophthalmologist they feel comfortable with. That’s why it’s always a good idea to do your own research by trying to meet with your surgeon at an initial consultation, and many clinics offer these for free.

2. AccuVision Treatments
As well as common laser vision correction treatments – such as LASEK and LASIK with ultra-accurate Wavefront diagnostics – AccuVision also offers lens replacement surgery, including the UK’s most common surgical procedure: cataract surgery.
- LASIK eye surgery
- Trans-Epithelial Surface Treatment
- Lens replacement surgery
- ICL surgery (implantable contact lenses)
- Cataract surgery
- Amblyopia (lazy eye treatment)
So is it safe? AccuVision promises highly sophisticated, automated devices, with world-class Wavefront technology and the Alcon WaveLight EX500 Excimer laser. According to the clinic’s own study of 500 patients, everyone achieved at least driving standard vision following surgery (including repeat surgery).
3. AccuVision Laser Eye Clinic Prices
AccuVision’s prices are reasonable rates in laser eye surgery. On average, 800 patients told Lasik Eyes they paid £1,200 (per eye) for laser eye surgery, and £3,615 (per eye) for lens replacement surgery (including cataract surgery) – few clinics have lower starting prices.
AccuVision doesn’t publish a fixed price list, but here are the costs you can expect for the most popular eye surgeries:
- Consultation Price: Free for initial consultation
- LASIK Price: Average cost £2,400 for both eyes
- Trans-Epi Price: Average cost £2,400 for both eyes
- C3R Treatment Price: Average cost £2,000 per eye
Here’s how these prices compare to the eye surgery quotes offered by other clinics:
Treatment | Optical Express Cost (per eye) | Optegra Cost (per eye) | Optimax Cost (per eye) | Centre for Sight Cost (per eye) |
---|---|---|---|---|
LASIK / LASEK | From £595 | £1,795 | £1,695 | £2,400 |
Cataract Surgery | From £3,195 | £2,495 | £2,995 | From £3,150 |
ICL Surgery | From £3,395 | £3,495 | £2,495 | £3,615 |
Eye surgery isn’t an insignificant cost for most people. That’s why AccuVision offers a 10 month finance option, which lets you spread the costs of surgery after the initial deposit into smaller monthly fees. You will need to pass a credit check with Hitachi Capital to gain approval for this payment plan.
That said, most clinics provide finance plans for much longer – up to three years, and also team up with health insurers who may cover at least some of the costs of the surgery (which AccuVision doesn’t).

Accuvision Reviews

Can’t see my old review on here, but I had the treatment at Accuvision 9 years ago and still have 20/20 vision. Seriously worth doing. Don’t go for the cheapest option, you only have one pair of eyes. Save up and go for the best. Had friends finally have the operation, universal response is ‘should have done it years ago’. Huge amounts of both time and money saved since then in putting in/taking out and cleaning lenses, buying them, glasses, cleaning fluids, opticians appointments etc.

From the very first consultation with Mr Kumar I felt in safe hands. The procedure was pain free in every way, the after care very reassuring. It’s transformed my life not having to wear glasses, and the flagging about with contact lenses, solutions and everything that goes with poor sight! I’m about five weeks in from having it done and my sight is improving and settling everyday.

Prashant my surgeon guided me throughout my initial consultation, during the procedure and following the aftercare.
I was impressed with his in depth knowledge about the treatment and was not bombarded with medical jargon. He explained the procedure clearly which made it easy for me to understand. I’ve been to other consultations and I can honestly say that Prashant made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. I felt I can trust him and his approach was very professional. Thank you to the team and Prashant – you made a big difference to my sight.

I couldn’t be happier with the results and I couldn’t recommend this clinic highly enough. A great team of people who have been excellent on every level.

I was very happy with every stage of my treatment, I was very nervous but was put at ease by the lovely team to whom I will be eternally grateful for giving me such wonderful sight again after several years of wearing glasses and now I have my freedom back
Thank you so very much

Why did I not do this sooner? What a fantastic thing this is. The worst thing about it was not being able to wear make-up for the first two weeks after surgery.
I felt confident and secure that all of the team would play their part in changing my vision for the better. On surgery day the procedure was quick, pain free and I was reassured throughout.
Aftercare has been superb and I am delighted to have 20/20 vision. Accuvision are totally honest and genuinely want to do what is best for their patients first rather than their profits.
I cannot recommend them highly enough – if you are still wondering whether to have surgery then stop wondering and just do it!

I had lasik done on my eyes early 2010 by accuvision the leeds branch. I went to accuvision after reading lasik-eye reviews and reading fda reports on the laser equipment used. My assessment at the time was that they had the best statistics for long-sighted patients even taking the very competative price into account. The service was outstanding both before and after. My pre-lasik prescription was +3.0 and +2.5 with significant astigmatism in one eye. I was discharged later with a very mild long sight prescription of +0.25 in each eye. Today (jan 2014) i went to an independent optician for the first time since the treatment for a checkup. No prescription and better than 20:20. Very pleased i went with accuvision.

I consulted Accuvision about intraocular lens implants for correction of myopia, following a radial keratotomy over 20 years earlier. Their optometrist recommended a PRK procedure instead. After a successful PRK on my right eye, I underwent the same procedure on my (very slightly myopic) left eye. Unfortunately the second procedure was unsuccessful and I ended up with corneal scarring to a depth of 20% and significantly reduced vision in my left eye, from previously near normal vision. On follow up visits I was repeatedly assured that everything was following a normal course, and there was never any acknowledgment of corneal damage. I ultimately required a corneal transplant to replace my scarred left cornea, and will require follow up monitoring and treatment for the rest of my life. While corneal scarring is a recognised complication of laser eye surgery, I would have appreciated an admission that the procedure had failed. And if I could turn back the clock I would not undergo laser surgery for cosmetic reasons. It may be successful in over 90% of cases, but that leaves a lot of people with suboptimal results.

My experience with Accuvision has been very good indeed. I researched various clinics and was recommended Parsons Green (London) by a friend. The clinic team were honest about the results I could expect ( I had -5.50 and -7.00 with astigmatism). They said that my short sight may be not as sharp but my long sight would be much improved.
The results have exceeded my expectations – after 30 years of contact lenses and expensive glasses my long sight is excellent – I can see to drive and shop and I am so happy.
For close work I do need glasses but just the cheap ‘off the shelf’ type and only a +1.00 as I only need a slight magnification. The aftercare has been excellent – very thorough and I feel as if I have really been looked after. I am very happy with my experience.

I think the surgery I required wasn’t too expensive, £1500 or so (can’t remember exactly, was 2 years ago) but costs can vary depending on exactly what you require individually. I had astigmatism and I think was about -2 on each side
I kept meaning to come online and post a review, because I felt the customer service here was exceptional – the best I’ve come across in the many companies I’ve encountered in a long time.
I was treated as an individual all the way through the process, and got a personal service. The technologies in use were the most modern available, and they put me at ease. As a scientifically-minded person who had researched the treatment well, I was very much put at ease by their willingness and ability to engage in conversation about the more technical aspects of the procedure – I felt very confident in their ability as experts in the field.
No-one wants to take chances when it comes to their eyes, and as such I did my due diligence by doing lots of research on the topic, and satisfying myself that there were practically no risks worth considering when dealing with a professional outfit like Accuvision, I decided to go ahead with a consultation.
The consultation didn’t include any hard-selling tactics, which I was very pleased about, and which was just one reason I was happy to deal with Accuvision and place my booking for surgery that week
Pricing was straight forward – I found them very upfront with me about pricing, was given a simple “take-it-or-leave-it” price and didn’t feel I was being “squeezed” or that any sort of moroccan bazaar style haggling was in place.
They advice given covered every aspect which I think the average person might wonder about, and they guided me completely through what I should do pre and post-treatment.
My tip to anyone getting laser surgery is to get a valium prescribed legally if possible. It’s an amazing drug when used properly on a rare occasion like this and not abused or overused, and really helps you to totally relax during the procedure (which is very short and quick – just a few minutes!) you’re asked to try not to blink during some stages of the procedure, and I personally think the valium helped me relax and do this easier than I would have without. (I’m not normally prone to using medication of any kind, but my sister gave me the tip, telling me her laser surgery practice in australia gave her one, and I should do same as it helps, so I did)
Follow-up appointments were included in the price, and I was given the same thorough level of service at these appointments.
The company director was on site during one of my follow-up appointments, and was happy to chat further with me.
Accuvision is I think the only company of any type which I go out of my way to recommend to people, I only wish the companies which I deal with in other sectors adopted the same business style and levels of service.
Final word: there is nothing you can spend the money on that will make as much of a difference to your life. Most people are primarily “visual”, and experience the world around them through their eyes. If your sight is crippled with poor vision, so is your experience of life and the world around you. Even with glasses, you’re rarely experiencing perfect vision, as you can’t keep glasses constantly clean. 5 minutes surgery can unleash your eyes’ true capability. Do it!

Original prescription: Right eye: -4.00D with 0.50D astigmatism Left eye: -1.75D with -2.00D astigmatism.
After consultations with other providers I was disillusioned as it seemed eye surgery was a marketing exercise! After looking to see what else was available further afield we found Accuvision.
The difference was evident from first walking into the waiting room – professional, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Unlike other clinics where surgery type had been left to me to decide based on the cost, some clear guidance was given – with an explanation why. The ‘signing up’ part wasn’t pressured, the cost was the same as elsewhere, (without ‘this week only’ special offers) and there was a range of surgery dates.
The surgery itself was quick, painless and with a lot of reassurance when nerves were evident! The aftercare was also good. Accuvision was well worth traveling a little further for – the service and experience are head and shoulders above the mainstream providers.
My vision is better now than it was with contact lenses and I’d recommend Accuvision to anyone considering laser eye surgery.
