I went for a consulation at Optimaxs Finchley Road, London clinic and I was quite impressed. I felt no sales pressure and they seemed very thorough (even meeting a surgeon allegedly). However, they did not recommend me for treatment due to large pupils combined with a poor prescription. I appreciated their honesty. I have since had the procedure done with another company which does ask the question as to whether optimax's surgeons/equipment are as good as other clinics, or whether it is just that other clinics arent as careful/conservative as optimax? However, I was assured by 3 other clinics that I was a suitable candidate and so have gone ahead.

I visited the Birmingham clinic today for a consultation and was very impressed at their professionalism and clear, comprehensive advice. I am awaiting to see which treatment I am most suitable for, either Ultralasik plus or Ultralasek plus as I have thin corneas. I was in no way pressurised or made to feel like my questions were silly or irrelevant, so don't be afraid to ask away! Look forward to hearing tomorrow as to which treatment is best for me!!

The consultation was good and I came out very confident. I am booked in for ultralasik treatment plus intralase wavefront with Dr Haribalos Erefethelos. Has anyone else been treated by him? Any feedback would be appreciated!!

Following surgery for my long sight I now consider myself visually impaired. Ultralase over corrected my eyes from about +5 to -1.75. I have multiple images, glare, haloes, starburst and my left eye is so scarred that even glasses have little effect. After care is good but so it should be when they have permanently ruined my sight.

I was seen at Liverpool Ultralase. The surgeon was fantastic and 1 week post op with Ultralasik and wavefront and intralase I can see better than 20-20. The only downside was that the customer service there was really poor - I have had appointments with the optometrist cancelled twice and had to travel a long way to alternative clinic in Manchester when I was concerned about my eye a few days post op (albeit at ultralase's expense). Ultralase are great but to be honest if I lived equidistant between Liverpool and Manchester clinics I would go to Manchester.

Bristol Clinic - Very kind & friendly staff, thorough discussion with the surgeon (although he contradicted early things said by Customer services / sales' staff). Opted for LASEK Wavefront because of night vision - I live in a rural area so need good night vision for driving - and SCUBA diving. Had op 4 weeks ago. They even negotiated on the price as I said I couldn't afford the full Wavefront price...and wouldn't risk the cheaper version after the full consultation about night vision effects. All aftercare was arrange at a local opticians to save me traveling. Vision is now perfect as long as I'm not too tired.

Had wavefront lasik with intralase at London clinics on Friday 10 August. Delighted with result so far. Ultralase are very thorough both with their documentation and consultation/briefing. There is no pain involved in the procedure but the pressure applied to the eye is very unpleasant and the whole thing quite unnerving. I chose Ultralase because they offer after care in Jersey where I live and I have not been disappointed. Very professional company, not the cheapest but what price your eyes?! I have only rated 4 for customer service because they mucked me about at the last minute by changing the clinic where I was to have the procedure even though I had specifically booked a hotel to the clinic I had originally chosen. Also I've only scored them a 4 for value for money because there are more reasonably priced companies. However, as said before, I do not think price should be a consideration because you get what you pay for!

Got the result i wanted, but still wonder if i could of got the same result for cheaper somewhere else?? Couldn't fault anything, excellent service, surgeon and technology!! I even move one of my eyes and still have better than 2020 in both eyes. I had wavefront with intra lase and my prescription was -2 in both eyes but very large pupils. Thank you Ultralase.

Having worn glasses for more than 30 years, with my prescription getting stronger, it was finally time to do something about ut. I must have been one of the most nervous patients but from the reception to surgeon, the care and treatment was wonderful. I no longer need glasses at all. It is just amazing.
