An experienced ophthalmic surgeon, Mr Mehul Damani has extensive specialist training in refractive surgery and has received a Certificate in Refractive Surgery (CertLRS) from The Royal College of Ophthalmologists.
He completed his initial medical training at the University of Mumbai where he won the Pfizer Medical aware and medallion for standing first in the final MBBS examination. After this, he took up a Registrar post and completed three years of specialist ophthalmology training focused on cataract and glaucoma surgery at Grant Medical College and the Sir J.J Group of Hospitals in Mumbai.
Mr Damani has since taken up posts at the Moorfields Eye Hospital, Frimley Park Hospital, Southend University Hospital NHS and Colchester General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
