Peter is Senior Consultant at the Kettering Eye Dept, Kettering General Hospital NHS Trust and Woodland Hospital Kettering.
In 1993 Peter introduced phacoemulsification small incision cataract surgery to the county. Soon after he acquired similar equipment for the Woodland hospital where he has also provided this cataract service. He has a particular interest in small incision cataract surgery and is now developing this further, minimizing refractive error with control of astigmatism using the latest equipment and computer software.
Peter sits on many committees including the The Ophthalmic Service Committee, The Regional Professional Development Committee and The County Diabetic Retinopathy Screening Steering Group.
He have always been involved in teaching and until recently was on the Regional Specialty Training Committee and was the local College tutor. In this role he supported the training of all junior staff in the Eye Dept.
