1. Review of AccuVision Laser Eye Clinic
Established in 2001, AccuVision is a popular destination for people seeking quality, affordable laser eye surgery. This clinic currently operates in five cities nationwide: London, Birmingham, Leeds, Bristol and Newcastle, and has performed over 40,000 treatments and counting.
What did independent inspectors find? According to the CQC’s latest report, there were no complaints between August 2016 and September 2017 from 1,011 refractive eye procedures carried out at AccuVision.
Is there anything else I should know? Most of the eye surgeons on our site enjoy five-star ratings, and the same is true for AccuVision. But it’s worth noting we only have 10 reviews for Dr Prashant Jindal.
Patients always want to find an ophthalmologist they feel comfortable with. That’s why it’s always a good idea to do your own research by trying to meet with your surgeon at an initial consultation, and many clinics offer these for free.

2. AccuVision Treatments
As well as common laser vision correction treatments – such as LASEK and LASIK with ultra-accurate Wavefront diagnostics – AccuVision also offers lens replacement surgery, including the UK’s most common surgical procedure: cataract surgery.
- LASIK eye surgery
- Trans-Epithelial Surface Treatment
- Lens replacement surgery
- ICL surgery (implantable contact lenses)
- Cataract surgery
- Amblyopia (lazy eye treatment)
So is it safe? AccuVision promises highly sophisticated, automated devices, with world-class Wavefront technology and the Alcon WaveLight EX500 Excimer laser. According to the clinic’s own study of 500 patients, everyone achieved at least driving standard vision following surgery (including repeat surgery).
3. AccuVision Laser Eye Clinic Prices
AccuVision’s prices are reasonable rates in laser eye surgery. On average, 800 patients told Lasik Eyes they paid £1,200 (per eye) for laser eye surgery, and £3,615 (per eye) for lens replacement surgery (including cataract surgery) – few clinics have lower starting prices.
AccuVision doesn’t publish a fixed price list, but here are the costs you can expect for the most popular eye surgeries:
- Consultation Price: Free for initial consultation
- LASIK Price: Average cost £2,400 for both eyes
- Trans-Epi Price: Average cost £2,400 for both eyes
- C3R Treatment Price: Average cost £2,000 per eye
Here’s how these prices compare to the eye surgery quotes offered by other clinics:
| Treatment | Optical Express Cost (per eye) | Optegra Cost (per eye) | Optimax Cost (per eye) | Centre for Sight Cost (per eye) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| LASIK / LASEK | From £595 | £1,795 | £1,695 | £2,400 |
| Cataract Surgery | From £3,195 | £2,495 | £2,995 | From £3,150 |
| ICL Surgery | From £3,395 | £3,495 | £2,495 | £3,615 |
Eye surgery isn’t an insignificant cost for most people. That’s why AccuVision offers a 10 month finance option, which lets you spread the costs of surgery after the initial deposit into smaller monthly fees. You will need to pass a credit check with Hitachi Capital to gain approval for this payment plan.
That said, most clinics provide finance plans for much longer – up to three years, and also team up with health insurers who may cover at least some of the costs of the surgery (which AccuVision doesn’t).

If you are considering having laser eye surgery, read on. I payed £950 per eye for the best care you could receive anywhere and I visited another more popular clinic(ultra lase) just to compare and was quoted more than double what i paid at accuvision. There are no sales team offering you a deal or finance options and no pushy so called advisors telling you what is best for you. I was treated so respectful by trained opticians and the consultation took half the time of the others. I have had my surgery now and its the best decision ive made, thanks to Accuvision

I would say this is the best money I have ever spent. I went to Optimax previously for a consultation and was quoted £3090! So I looked on the internet and found Accuvision, read all the testimonials and booked an appointment. It was a much better experience, everything was explained and the price about half that I was quoted elsewhere. I was worried on the day of surgery as any normal person would be. But it did not hurt and I was talked through every step. It was over before you knew it. There was nothing to fear. I came out and could see, although slightly blurry. Since the surgery, just the feeling of dry eyes which drops help. My vision is good and I need it with two children to look after. ACCUVISION HAVE CHANGED MY LIFE POSITIVELY FOREVER! I can see the clock during the night! I was a guinea pig for all my friends. I have told them I would do it again without a thought. DO IT! It's wonderful to be without glasses.

Absolutely fantastic!! The surgery only took a couple of minutes and was completely painless, you honestly cannot feel a thing (I was about -4 in both eyes with slight astigmatism in one eye). I was on my way home only 10 minutes after I had the op. I was reading number plates on the way home and in the afternoon I could read things in the distance as good as my boyfriend who has perfect vision, I was so impressed, couldn’t believe how quick I could see clearly. After my check up on the second day I was told I could now drive as my vision was so good, so I drove home, no problem. I needed extra drops for a few days as they were a bit dry. Had my 1 week check up yesterday and was told I have 20:20 vision. It is amazing. I chose AccuVision from reading the testimonials and I am so glad I did, I would like to thank everyone at AccuVision in Fulham, they were very professional and made me feel at ease.

I had 'Wavefront' LASIK treatment here on January 17th and three months later I am extremely happy with the results. The Team at Accuvision have been friendly and professional and the follow up care has been excellent. I am more than happy to recommend Accuvision and would like to pass on my thanks to all those involved in my procedure and care.

I had my treatment on 25th March, having thought long and hard about doing this. At the age of 43, I wondered whether I would be free of myopia only to find that a few years later I would need reading glasses. I had been told my my optician that they could under correct one eye, but I did not really like the idea of that, as when I had a weak contact lens in one eye but perfect in the other eye it gave me headaches. At my initial consultation the optomotrist spent a long time talking to me about this, and put glasses on with the under correction . I didn't even notice it until she pointed it out, and she did it so subtly that I did not have a chance to reject the idea. It made me really examine what choices I had to make. I was put under no pressure to sign up there and then, and I left the clinic with no one giving me a follow up call. It gave me time to think. What is impressive and gives you confidence is that as you are waiting for your appointment, people who have just had surgery sit inthe waiting room recovering. None of them are shaking or crying, but sitting quietly with their eyes closed. It makes you realise that the procedure cant be that bad. I booked my appoointment for a few weeks time, and followed instructions to the letter about pre-care. I was very nervous on the day. I was told by the surgeon that I had made a good decision to try the one under correction, and was told that if I could not get on with it, they would do the full correction in 3 months time at no extra cost. I am so glad I did it. It is incredibly liberating to be free of glasses. The mono vision has taken some time to get used to, but every day it gets better, and less noticeable. 3 weeks in, I hardly notice it now. My optician (a friend) looked at my eyes under her microscope a few days later and said that they had done a brilliant job and that it was healing really well. I would say that if you choose to have this done, make sure you follow the pre and after care to the letter. It is vital that you respect the fact that your eyes have been operated on and that you must reduce the risk of infection. I would recommend it to anyone. The worst bit is sitting in the reception waiting for it to happen. It does not hurt and is only really mildly uncomfortable. Good luck with whatever choice you make.

It's now just over 12 months since I had my treatment so feel it's right to add my voice to the list of positive experiences regarding Accuvision. I was treated at the Parsons Green clinic in London and from the first visit to my last check up it was all I could ever hope for from medical professionals. Everyone at the clinic was warm, approachable, knowledgable, professional and dedicated to me and the long term care of my eyes. There was no hard sell. Instead I got free, impartial and in depth information about my specific condition (approx -4 and astigmatism in both eyes) and a number of options, including recommendations and costs, for me to consider. I had no hesitation whatsoever in wanting to pursue surgery with them (I had previously had consultations in 2 other major UK clinics but had left them feeling decidedly like a number rather than a person). The surgery itself, as others have commented, was painless and quick. There are quite a few other technicians in the room with you which I didn't expect but they all had specific jobs to do and were there to ensure my surgery went well so it didn't really bother me. I was talked through every step so always knew what to expect. This, combined with the friendly disposition of everyone around you, really put me at ease. A handful of minutes later we were on to the second eye and after about 10 minutes the whole procedure was complete. Once I sat up I was able to see around me clearly and painlessly. It's quite mind blowing actually after so many years of glasses. The only minor discomfort I felt during the procedure was a few seconds of pressure when the clamp is applied - but that was all and really it's nothing to be concerned about. After the op, I was seen again after about 20 minutes to make sure the surgeon was happy. I was talked through what to do for the following 24 hours and given everything I would need. I went through my 24 hour, 1 week and 1 month check ups with each confirming the growing strengthening of my sight (now better than 20:20). I had no infections just a case of mild dry eye for the first few weeks. It's common, totally managable with drops and goes away by itself. 12 months on my vision is crisper than ever, day and night (especially important for driving) and I have developed a healthy collection of sunglasses. I have recommended Accuvision to a number of my glasses wearing friends and having seen my progress they could not be restrained from having surgery themselves. They too have had a similar experience to mine with Accuvision. I would like to thank the various people I met during my many visits to Parsons Green. They do a terrific job with sunny dispositions and I wish them continued success. I am happy to recommend them for impartial advice, excellent care and fantastic results at a price that puts many of their competitors to shame. Finally, if you are unsure whether you are suitable for surgery or think it might just be too expensive or painful for you, what have you got to lose by finding out in a pressure free and informed environment? Best thing I've done in a long time, only wish I'd done it earlier!

I initially visited Accuvision earlier this year for an assessment. A friend had previously been treated there and highly recommended them. Prior to that I had visited one of the major High Street chains. After my experience in the High Street I was not positive regarding what the outcome of my visit to Accuvision might be. I could not have been more wrong! At the High Street chain I was greeted by a young lady who was to be my "mentor" throughout, taken by her into the clinic area above the opticians' shop, and after going through a few basics left to wait for the optician. When he arrived and took me into his room, he seemed more interested in telling me that he didn't really want to be there, but as they'd allowed him to bring his wife and family for the weekend, he'd agreed to do it. Then he complained that he'd had no lunch. In the circumstances, I really wanted to hear all of this! When he did eventually get around to the matter of the assessment, he quickly informed me that my left eye, which has been weak from birth, might not be suitable for laser treatment - and if it was treated it would be very expensive. Ultimately he pronounced that my left eye could not be treated, and he recommended that I make an appointment via my mentor to be assessed for lens implantation at their Harley Street clinic. When I asked what the cost of this would be, to say the least, his estimate was very expensive. The optician took me downstairs to the shop to look for the mentor, and it transpired that she had gone out to lunch. Another mentor told me that if I would like to wait for about 20 minutes, she may have time to deal with me. I left at that point, asking them to get my mentor to phone me the next working day to make the appointment. I am still waiting for her call! Thank goodness she couldn't be bothered! When I visited the Accuvision clinic, things could not have been more different. My faith in human nature was restored! The clinic itself is very professionally appointed, and all of the staff are very friendly and efficient. I immediately felt relaxed and in the hands of professionals. The optometrist put me through various tests, using modern computerised equipment. At every stage he explained what was happening and why. He told me that it WAS possible to have laser treatment, gave me the cost there and then (which was very good compared to the estimate received at the High Street chain), explained more about the treatment itself, and left me to decide if I wanted to go ahead. There was not any pressure. I was invited to go home and discuss the whole thing with my wife, and to give them a call if I wanted to go ahead. Needless to say I called to arrange for the treatment to take place. I am ecstatic at the results that were achieved. I was only at the clinic for a total of about an hour, of which the treatment itself took about 10 minutes. The rest was preparation time and after care. Again at every stage I received an explanation of what was happening, and I felt fully relaxed and in the hands of true professionals, who were very friendly throughout. During the treatment itself, I only felt what I can describe as a very slight vibration on each eye – and only for a few seconds in each case. There was absolutely no discomfort. That evening there was minor discomfort, but again very professionally, I was told in advance exactly what to expect, given drops for my eyes and told to rest them for the rest of the night. The next day it was amazing, the minor discomfort had gone. I went for a check up and already the sight in my previously better eye was perfect, even my other eye was almost perfect – that had not been the case since birth! As I write, it’s now just over a week since my treatment – and my vision is still improving by the day. I can even read without glasses now – which I certainly wasn’t expecting. Thank you to everyone at Accuvision for a very professional job extremely well done.

Achieved an excellent result!!! Better than I expected. Having suffered with poor vision for many years, I can now see better than I did as a teenager. I only wish that I had laser surgery earlier and not delayed. Accuvisions' staff have been wonderful, explaining the procedure clearly. Thank you to all the staff

Treatment at Accuvision, Parsons Green. Excellent service, having had vision correction done before at Optimax, the service that I got from Accuvision far exceeds that elsewhere. Accuvision were able to correct my vision to almost perfection which Optimax was unable to do. After-care service is second to none. Vikash Patel, my optometrist made the whole experience absolutely hassle-free and easy. Definitely recommend to others thinking about vision correction. Well done! :-)

I had Wavefront Lasik performed at Accuvision in Solihull (near Birmingham) on 15/04/2008. The Clinic is easy to get to and is just a couple of miles off Junction 5 of the M42. My prescription was -2.50 both eyes. I chose Accuvision because all the feedback I had read on various forums was always positive. I had my consultation on 07/04/2008. It was very comprehensive and everything about the surgery was explained to me. I had my surgery on 15/04/2008 and it was a doddle. I had no pain during or after surgery (it’s easier than going to the dentist !). The thought of the surgery is a hundred times worse than the surgery itself. I have just been for my 1 week check up and I have 20:20 vision. This is the best money I have ever spent and would recommend Accuvision at Solihull. I, like many other people, have thought “why didn’t I do this sooner”.
