What a brilliant team. Arthur Nylander performed lens replacement on both eyes at once. The operation was relaxed and I only had eye drops for pain relief. Deepak and Arthur talked me through the whole operation before the procedure and then came to see me 30 mins after the lens were implanted to explain that everything had gone according to plan. The hospital I stayed in was fantastic and I'm pleased that I decided to stay overnight and return home the following day. The aftercare has been marvellous. Had surgery on 23rd Sept 06 and can't recommend viewpoint highly enough. From the initial consultation which was very detailed and informative, through to the procedure and aftercare, there is very little to find fault with. I had medium myopia and astigmatism in both eyes and needed glasses all the time. I had surgery at 5pm saturday and, after being checked, drove 60 miles home the following morning with no problems. In reply to Ramits question I would like to answer with the following; I had surgery with them a year ago and can vouch for them 100% Their equipment is state of the art and the surgeons amongst the best in Britain. The aftercare I received was and still is excellent. I am always made to feel very welcome whenever I pop in. I have no hesitation at all in recommending them to you. In fact I think that because the company is small, it is more personal and friendly without compromising the treatment in any way. Mr Chitkara was recommended to me by a business associate. My only regret is that it took me 2 years to pluck up the courage before contacting him.I had worn contact lenses for distance and reading for several years. Apart from the inconvenience of putting them in and taking them out I was still having difficulty with glare whilst driving at night. I was dreading having to drive from work in the winter of 2005 as I knew it was going to be a serious problem for me. I am planning on getting LASIK with wavefront done on both my eyes and I have my consultation with a surgeon in Viewpoint next saturday. Everything sounds good but I am a bit concerned about their prices.. how come they are so low?? Are they missing something out? £499 per eye with wavefront is too cheap! If anyone can shed some light on this, it would be invaluable to me.  More...

Deepak has changed my life I have just turned 40 and having new sight was my husband's Birthday present. For the first time in 40yrs I have fantastic vision. I had lense implants in both eyes and after the initial 3 weeks with the stitches in where my vision was better, When the stitches were removed it was like a miracle. both reading and distance is 20/20. After being recommended by my husband who had surgery the week before me, I was aprehensive at first as well as being a little afraid but now I am all finished I am very pleased I opted for lense implants, I no longer haveto wear my glasses on my head and can now read labels in shops instead of the "on-off" all the time with glasses and loosing them every 5 minutes! Deepak performed laser surgery on my right eye after a lens replacement by the NHS left me with no focus and needing glasses.The result of his treatment has been a complete restoration of my middle and distance focus which is fantastic!
