I had my eyes lasered at the Chelmsford Ultralase clinic back in April of this year. My aunt had previously had her's done at the Birmingham clinic and my mum also at Chelmsford. I saw the difference the treatment had made to my mum and decided to go for a consultation myself. The staff at the clinic were fantastic, explaining exactly what the treatment would involve and the possible side effects. Once it had been confirmed that I was a suitable candidate, I desperately wanted to go ahead with the treatment. However, the problem was that I was at university in Birmingham and only home for a couple of weeks for the Easter holidays. When I explained this to the staff at the clinic, they created a special appointment, allowing me to have the surgery when it was convenient to me. They also booked my follow-up appointments for times when I was home.
One of my major concerns about having the surgery was that I'm still only 22 and that my eyesight may deteriorate as I grow older. The doctors reassured me by informing me that I would be able to have surgery again in a few years time if this was the case.
I couldn't be more pleased with the results and the service I received from the Chelmsford clinic. Whilst the operation was quite uncomfortable, it lasted only a few minutes and when I woke up the next morning my vision was near perfect and continued to improve over the next few days.
Since my treatment, the difference it has made to my life has been brilliant. My motivation for having the operation was a charity trip to Malaysia that I'm about to partake in. I'm really looking forward to trekking through the jungle and scuba diving without the hassle of glasses or contact lenses.
I would thoroughly recommend Ultralase to anyone who is considering having laser surgery. Every step of the way, the staff have been fantastic and the difference it has made to my life is unbelievable!
