I had wavefront-guided LASEK in June 2004 and right from the moment the procedure was finished I was delighted with the results, I simply sat up and I could see. It was just an incredible feeling for me having needed glasses or lenses since I was eight and would recommend it to anyone. Personnally I had no hesitation, it was a natural reaction for me to discuss the decision with loved ones and was shocked when my Mum said go for it when I was expecting her to be nervous, in her day Contact lenses were a new thing and she was put off them by a lot of people she knew but eventually in her 30's decided to go for it and now regrets all those years she sufferred with glasses, so she was determined to support this new treatment as it is just the next step up from glasses.....and believe me its been the ultimate one for me. I went to the barrier reef in Australia 10 years ago but could not wear glasses or contact lenses to snorkle so I missed seeing so much, now I am looking forward to going back again next year to see everything with fresh eyes.
