I had Lasik last February at Ultralase Manchester by Andrea Kerr. Some 11 months on I am really pleased that I had the treatment and got over my initial fears of having surgery on my eyes.
I feel that often a lot of the comments on here are submitted in the euphoria of suddenly being able to see again without glasses or lenses. The true test is 6 months, 1 year, 5 years down the line. I had real problems for the first couple of months with bright lights, especially when driving. However this settled down by the summer and is now not an issue. One of the things I have noticed is that at night I have felt that my vision when driving was not as good as it was before (when using glasses). This though seems to be improving and is not an issue now.
My impression of Ultralase was positive despite going back several times in the first few months re the bright light issue. I feel that the decision to have the treatment and where you are treated is very much a personal one and everyone needs to make their own decision based on how they feel about the surgery and also the clinic.
