I was worried about having the treatment but reassured by
the consultation. I was warned of possible glare and halo effects due
to my having large pupils, but haven't really noticed much difference.
The benefits of not wearing glasses any more are fantastic - swimming,
holidays, no more wiping glasses off in the rain or on cold days. It's
the best money I've ever spent!
I would recommend this treatment to anyone who is suitable. I found many scare stories on the web before I had my treatment but these seemed to be from people who should never have been treated in the first place. However, don't be fooled - the treatment itself is not painless, I had about 4 hours of discomfort after the treatment and about 2 weeks where my eyes were quite dry but this was no worse than wearing contact lenses. The benefits far outway the unpleasantness of the treatment and I wouldn't let it put you off!
