I've been short sighted for about 17 years (about -2.75 in both) and I had bad astigmatism too. Had the op 5 weeks ago. My vision is better than I can ever remember - it's absolutely fantastic !! Had an eye test last week - I'm now easily better than 20/20 !
Surgery is slightly uncomfortable (as expected), with a sensation of pressure on the eye for a few seconds, but there's no pain at all at any time during the procedure. You're advised to take it easy (lie down, close eyes) after anaesthetic wears off - it feels a bit like you've been chopping onions. After 4 hours of lying down, eyes mostly closed, I was up and about and seeing quite well. By morning my (unaided)vision was good enough to drive !! Wow !
Follow the advice given precisely - Ultralase really know what they're doing. My advice 2 u - go 4 it !!!
