Initially I was a little apprehensive about getting the treatment done as I thought it might be to invasive. My whole experience at Ultralase has been fabulous, right from my first consultation. The procedure itself was not nearly as uncomfortable or scary as I had imagined and Mr Kervick (Surgeon) explained exactly what was going on. Whilst the 2 days following treatment were somewhat uncomfortable, I still couldn’t wait to return one week later to have my second eye treated. I had astigmatism which meant that I had to wear specs all the time. This interfered with my sporting lifestyle greatly. I was reassured from my first consultation appointment to my final ‘sign off’ day by thoroughness and professionalism of all the staff I met. After wearing glasses from the age of 7 and lenses from 19, I’d been totally dependant on ‘optical aids’ for over ¾ of my life. Dr Gupta was my surgeon and he and his team put me at ease. I can honestly say it did not hurt at all, only a slight pressure for a few seconds at the beginning of each eyes treatment. Waking up in the morning and being able to see if amazing! As is buying any pair of sunglasses from any store, as is being able to swim without bumping into the wall. As is being able to see faces!!
