Having worn glasses since the age of 8, it was difficult to explain the decision to undergo surgery to correct my vision. However, how glad I am that I went through with it. Valerie was amazing, patiently explaining everything and answering questions, even in the run-up to the surgery date. On the day itself, Valerie and her team made the whole experience calm and stress free and it is astounding that such a life changing result can be achieved so easily, and pain/ stress free. I had the surgery in February and have recently returned from an early summer holiday – no glasses, prescription sunglasses, contact lenses, comfort drops etc. Just my new eyes and a pair of sunglasses! I would thoroughly recommend the amazing Valerie and Moorfields hospital.

Ms Saw has a wonderfully calming personality. She took time to explain the procedure and answered all my questions thoroughly. She communicated clearly during the operation, which alleviated a potentially very stressful situation.
I would also like to praise Ms Saw’s practice manager (Mrs Nishad Ansari), who was excellent at responding to my communications in an effective and professional manner.
Having a cataract isn’t great news, but I will be returning to Ms Saw and her team’s care if I need any further treatment. Very highly recommend.

A 5-star experience with Ms Saw. She is very thorough with pre testing and explaining the procedure. After care was excellent and I obtained a great result. The only regret is not doing it sooner.
Thanks again!

Valerie’s care and expertise have been incredibly reassuring right through from the initial consultation until today (one year post-op).
I was specifically drawn to Valerie because of her expertise in dry eyes. I was nervous about the idea of laser given my dry eyes, and Valerie confirmed that ICL would be more appropriate given my dry eyes, high prescription (-9) and astigmatism.
The surgery was very quick and calm, and I attended the second eye on my own, having seen how straightforward the first eye was.
Valerie\’s after-care was incredible. She saw me at very regular intervals and answered all my questions.
I still cannot believe how sharp my eyesight is – I had very poor vision out of my glasses and could not tolerate contact lenses. The surgery has absolutely changed my quality of life and confidence.
I am so grateful that I came across Valerie and her incredible expertise.

My treatment with Ms. Saw was excellent, and the staff at her clinic were all very kind and helpful. In particular, they were understanding about the expense associated with traveling to London for treatment, as I live in the north, and they were able to do the initial assessment and surgery on the same day, which was great for me. I also loved the ability to communicate and make appointments by e-mail, which made it much easier for me to arrange treatment. Ms. Saw was great about answering questions and taking the time to make sure I understood the procedure.

My only complaint is that my recovery time from the LASEK surface treatment was much longer than expected–I was told clear vision would return 7-14 days after surgery, but it took more than a month for my eyes to be fully functional, especially with screens. After reading others’ experiences online with the same kind of surgery, this seems to be quite normal. I am happy with the end result, but if I had a less flexible work schedule this could have caused significant problems. I hope LASEK patients in the future will be warned of the very long recovery time.

I am delighted with my lens replacement surgery. I was apprehensive at first however Valerie and her team are amazing I can not praise her as much as I’d like to. I had my lens replaced on 14th and 15th February 2017 right eye 1st then the following morning other eye. and my Vision could not be better.
A few weeks of eye drops after surgery and all good the thing I noticed more is haveing a shower and seeing what was the shampoo bottle.

If you are thinking about it 100% do it as they is no pain what so ever it just nerves and Valerie and her team make the the nervousness go away I’m pleased to say.

Dr Saw completed my LASEK surgery in November 2017. Her team completed a thorough pre-assessment of my eyes and determined I was suitable for surgery. On the day of the surgery I was walked through the process step-by-step to ensure I was comfortable with what was going to happen as well as information about how long different things would take. After the surgery I went home and after a few days was able to get out and about and returned to work 2 weeks later. I’ve had several follow up appointments and have reached out to Dr Saw multiple times with questions all of which have been responded to promptly. My vision is now better than 20/20.
My wife is also looking to get laser eye surgery and we’ll definitely be going back to see Dr Saw!

Extremely pleased with the surgery I had in January 2016. It is life changing. Valerie was fantastic all way through, very professional and thorough in her explanations. Surgery was painless and results were already incredible after a few hours. After care support was brilliant. I have been recommending Valerie to my family and friends since then!

I highly recommend undertaking laser surgery with Valerie. I had a very high prescription (-8) and was wearing spectacles and then contact lenses since I was 5 years old. I was a bit apprehensive at the start but Valerie was very reassuring from the beginning. I received all the information I wanted allowing me to make my choice. The surgery (May 2016) didn’t take long at all and the discomfort only lasted a couple of hours. I was provided with a range of drops including anesthetics drops against the pain which were very efficient. After a few hours, I was seeing and my vision settled very quickly after then. I was driving my son to school after 48h. Valerie gave me her mobile number allowing me to call her, anytime (even during the weekend) if I had any concerns. This was really reassuring. She is making herself available for her patients and is very caring. My vision is now perfect, which is an amazing and crazy feeling! Whenever friends mention laser surgery, I encourage them to see Valerie as I know they will be in very safe hands. The clinic facilities are very clean and modern, as you would expect for private facilities. You are very well looked after all way through.
