Having narrowly avoided being overcharged by Optical Express (quote was £3200), I looked around, and from this website, saw that OPtimax was a better deal. I cancelled OPtical Express and made an appointment with OPtimax. Customer service was much better: e.g. spoke clear English, could spell "Stephen" but also they asked the sort of questions OPtical Express didn't. On the day of the op, I had a variety of tests, including from the surgeon himself. He was a very calm man and good at putting people at ease (Mr Patel). He said I didn't need wavefront (which OPtical express tried to make me buy) saving quite a bit. I felt quite looked after. There had been a technician refilling the gas cylinders on the day, which delayed the op, hence 4 not 5 stars. 4 days on and my vision is much, much better. The key to avoid blurriness is to keep your eyes moist.
