I have now booked my consultation and surgery appointments for Birmingham in the middle of September. Now that this is done I'm starting to worry about all sorts of things, in particular, the rubbing of the eyes. I understand that you can't rub them for upto 3 weeks after LASIK, and I have already noticing how much I rub them now, which I never noticed before. What would happen if such an incident occurred after the surgery. I have also read that a knock on the head is a bit of a worry, obviously I don't plan on hitting my head, but if anything did happen is this a problem for life or just until the eyes have settled. One last thing the whole family is going to America middle of October and this is about 4 weeks after the surgery - borderline, would swimming be completely out of the question, as long as I had no complications with the surgery. I hope you can put my mind at ease.
    Thanks, Eloise
