    I’m well used to contacts after wearing them for about twenty years, so the slight discomfort after the operation was nothing to me: I’m well used to the discomfort of a dud contact lens and this was in no way on a par with that. I had pain killers in the cupboard, but did not even feel the need to use them. I was told that I’d had a good result, as I obtained 20-20 vision in one eye when I had the check up to have the “bandage lens” removed after 4 days, something which I was told was very unusual with LASEK.
