I had my Lasik surgery 48 hours ago and am writing this from my office at work. It is miraculous! My eye sight is better now than it was with glasses or contact lenses.
I'm 43 years old and (was) short sighted -5.00.
I'd met several people who had undergone the lasik surgery and not heard a single negative comment. This ... the special offer and the close proximity of the Norwich branch of Optical Express helped me make up my mind to have the treatment.
The staff in the Milton Keynes branch where I had the surgery were caring and efficient. The surgeon wasn't overly charming or chatty but he did a fantastic job so I think he's wonderful too!
The treatment was very strange but did not involve any pain. I know everyone's reaction is different but between 30 minutes and a couple of hours after the surgery, I was hurting. I wish I'd taken some strong painkillers with me to the clinic and would suggest this to everyone; however, after four hours the pain had gone and I slept well.
I kept my eyes shut until the next day. On awaking, my wife gently cleared the gunk from my eye lashes and I found that my eye sight was fantastic. Unbelievable. I can't tell you how thrilled I am. (I guess I already have!)
