I had my wavefront lasik treatment just over a week ago at optical express newcastle. The staff were all really friendly and professional which helped me feel at ease as i was a bit nervous. I had various checks before I went in for my actual treatment. I was quite surprised that I didn't have to be kept waiting. The surgeon said I would hear a buzzing noise when they cut my cornea but i didn't realize how loud it would be and I flinched. Luckily it didn't affect my eye! There was no pain at all during treatment but the smell of burning was a bit off putting!
1/2hr after treatment I was in a restaurant accross the road from optical express with my sunglasses on and my eyes were stinging quite badly and tears were streaming down my face,I just wanted to get home. Once at home I went to sleep as adviced and the next morning I felt alot better in my right eye but my left was still sore. At my check up I could see ok in my right eye but I had double vision in my left. I kept taking all my different drops and my left eye started to feel better. a week on I have better that 20/20 vision. It's amazing I don't know why everyone doesn't have it done. All those years I wore my horrid glasses and uncomfortable contact lenses!
