I can honestly say that I didn't really have any particular expectations for the surgery as I really wasn't sure how good things could be. At -12 and -15 my myopia was pretty bad and before my initial consultation I knew that laser treatment just wasn't possible. I'd previously heard of implanted contact lenses but my eyes weren't suitable for this treatment which left replacement lenses.
I was pretty anxious before the surgery and the week between each eye being done was tricky but the results are truly miraculous for 99% of the time I don't need any correction and have reading glasses for those occasions where the small print is just too small. I am just amazed each morning as I was immediately after the surgery.
