Having spent a lifetime struggling with myopia and now aged 60 when the ageing process necessitated not just contact lenses but reading glasses as well, a friend recommended Julian Stevens at Moorfields. The treatment I received was second to none and Julian's expertise and quiet confidence guided me through the whole procedure which was a little more complicated than Lasik, medically known as "removal of cataract and phakoemulsification and insertion of new lenses". One lens is set a "long distance" the other at "middle distance" and although Julian said I would still need reading glasses, the bonus is that actually I manage very well without reading glasses and my vision is better than it has ever been. I was so thrilled that my son aged 31 was also treated by Julian with Lasik and tells me "it's the best thing that ever happened to me mum".
