After much consideration and research I decided to have my vision correction surgery carried out at The Manchester Royal Eye Hospital. From first contact I found all staff members to be very professional and welcoming.
The inital consultation was very thorough and the appropriate surgery was booked for the following 2 weeks.
I had Lasik carried out 4 days ago, immediately after the surgery although my vision was blurred I could see an improvement, I was warned that I would experience varying degrees of discomfort over the next 72 hours. The initial discomfort was just about bearable and would compare it to getting shampoo in your eyes (only not being able to rinse it out) Once home I took the pain relief and sleeping medication provided and went to bed. I woke 12 hours later with no discomfort. I have been applying the provided drops and am having the contact lens bandages removed tomorrow. So far so good, I love being able to see my feet in the shower! The Manchester Centre for Vision have been fantastic and would recommend them to anyone, true professionals.
