    I took a long time to make a decision about having laser eye surgery. Firstly I hate hospitals, and secondly because I didn't really believe I needed it. However, I recently turned 34 and my prescription was now a fairly stable -7.5 in my left eye, and -7 in my right. Contact lenses were starting to irritate me after 15 years of almost constant wear, and glasses were just a pain in the backside and just too limiting for how my lifestyle is developing.     I had my surgery on 07.12.03 with Mr Kasaby at BUPA Springfield. I have left it over a year to write my comments as I really wned to fully test my "new eyes", and that is the only way to describe them Having been dependent on glasses for 20 years and having found that this can impact on whole areas of your life, I now after surgery so wish I had had the courage earlier to have my vision corrected. And that is what it all comes down to..... courage.
