I have wavefront surgery with Robert Morris on 23/03/2005, and I am thrilled with the results. I was short sighted -6 and now I have 20 20 vision in both eyes. I had a consultation with David Gartry at Moorfields, which I decided against because of the travelling distance and also felt uncomfortable about some of the reviews on Lasik Eyes, and a second consulation with Optical Express and also decided against it as it felt like a high street procedure rather than an operation.

Consulation:
The consultation was extremely thorough and gave ample opportunity to ask as many questions as you liked without feeling rushed. I went away feeling more confident about the potential outcome of the operation. I decided to go ahead with the surgery and Rob Morris informed me that if I needed any further questions then I could either call him or email them as he would not operate on me if I had any concerns or doubts on the day of the surgery.

Operation:
The day of the operation I was extremely nervous, I arrived at the Nuffield Hospital at 0830 and by 1000, I was on the way home driving my boyfriend crazy by reading the number plates of all the cars driving past! The operation itself was painless but it was a weird sensation and you can feel the pressure on the eye. You are extremely well looked after for all the team. My left eye took 4 minutes and my right eye took 6 minutes. Immediately after the operation Rob Morris inspected my eyes and I had a slight wrinkle in one of the flaps so took me back into surgery and 'straightened it out'.

Post surgery: By the evening on the day of the operation there was still a slight blur, but was sat up watching TV and couldn't feel any pain or discomfort in either eyes. The next morning everything was completely clear and my eye sight was fabulous! It felt strange not to have to reach for my glassses first thing in the morning.

It is now a month on and I have just been diving in the red sea for a week, with my new eyes! It has been great to go on holiday and not have to worry about fiddling around with contact lenses or prescription sunglasses.

I would not hesitate to recommend Robert Morris and the team at Grange Eye Clinic.
