Hola - I wrote in the 13th of November, 3 days after having LASEK with Zyoptix wavefront. I am now pleased to say that I have no pain and I am gradually adjusting to my new contact-lens free life. Every night I find myself on the verge of sticking my fingers into my eyes to remove my lenses, and then I remember silly me, I don't wear lenses any more ! :) I was operated monday the 10th, here in Barcelona. By Thursday I was feeling quite OK and was fortunate enough to watch the season's finale of 24 hours! The next day, I had a check-up with the surgeon. Any previous impressions of the doctor being informal and cold were erased. He was very kind and caring, not to mention quite attractive!!! He said the corneas were healing well, and that they'd leave the protective lens in over the week-end just to be on the safe side. He also showed me a graph charting the progress of his patients, and reassured me that his expectations for me were on par with the high-results of his other patients. On monday, I went back to have the lenses removed. The doc. was very pleased again, and my vision was gradually improving. I had a functional vision, could work no problem, go shopping, etc. For some reason, I expected my vision to automatically be sharper once the protective lens was removed. This was not the case. It became blurrier. I was informed that there could be a period where the eyes would be adjusting to their new status of being with-out the bandage lens, kind of like how your skin feels after having a cast removed. So now it is 4 days later. My vision is more or less how it was when I wore contacts, meaning that I can definately see pretty well, but I am lacking a bit of sharpness. I was told that it could take a few weeks to achieve this, so I'll just have to be patient. Meanwhile, I take the steroid drops four times a day, and every few hours put in refreshing eye drops. But I feel fine, and I'm quite happy. :)
