Considering Laser Eye Surgery in the UK?, then you have reached the right place. This is because the content of this website is almost all provided by feedback from those who have already experienced Laser eye surgery in the guise of either Wavefront, Zyoptix, Lasik, Lasek or PRK eye surgery.

I would like to suggest a site at http://www.surgeryencyclopedia.com/La-Pa/Laser-In-Situ-Keratomileusis-LASIK.html to add to your site. I found it today and it's quite good. Regards, Martin Lopp  More...

Update on my previous post. It is nearly 7 weeks since the surgery in Portugal and I still can not see correctly out of my right eye as it is continually blurred and I have double vision. Everything beyond 1m is blurred. I have had two eye tests since being back in UK. My eye originally was +1.5 before surgery and last Monday I was apparently -1. I am told by the Dr in Portugal that it could take up to 3 months to correct itself. Does anyone tell you this prior to Surgery? It now appears that I have pterygium that is a wedge shaped growth from the nasal side of the eye and which becomes attached to the cornea so I am going to have to spend more money on seeing a Surgeon in Bath, UK to find ...  More...

I have recently had Lasik carried out on my right eye. It is nearly 3 weeks since the surgery and and I still can not see correctly out of my eye as it is continually blurred. The operation was carried out in Lago Portugal. My last visit to the DR who carried out the work was last Monday, the day I flew home to the UK. My ey originally was +1.5 and last Monday he told me that it was -2. I can not read, use a computer which I need for my living, watch TV or drive a car safely. He told me it could take up to 3 months to correct itself. I am lucky I had only one eye (so called) corrected otherwise I would have been in a real mess if both eyes had such a poor result. If this does not come right ...  More...

Hi I am considering vision corerction specifically because I am going travelling in a few months and don't want all the hassle of carrying round glasses, contact solutions etc. However, for how long after the sugery do you need to have check ups (if I am out of the UK for a few months). I've been told my prescription is suitable (approx 2.75 shortsight, 225 astigmatism, but the astigmatism is too bad to wear normal soft lenses). Please could you advise how long after surgery I would need check ups? and if ther would be any special precautions travelling abroad a few months after - thank you  More...
