So thinking of having the surgery but filled with apprehension?

Me too, that is until last Saturday (19th August 2006), when I took the ultimate leap of faith and had the operation.

I started out with being told, quite rightly, that I shouldn't wear contact lenses excessively as the foolishness of my former youth had taken it's toll over the years and I now had blood vessels gradually creeping across my eyes - yuk.

I had looked at other alternatives and indeed used this website to see how others felt about Mr Daya and his team - essentially seeking reassurance for my decision. I needn't have worried - from the moment I called for my appointment to the initial follow up on Monday 21st, I felt I was in professional, safe and immeasurably capable hands at all times.

I cannot describe how life enhancing this operation is to those who are thinking of having the operation and are aware of the risks. My personal view is that these risks are minimised when dealing with a thoroughly professional organisation as the Centre for Sight. I am now looking forward to seeing my young family grow up and not have the hassle of glasses or contact lenses.

The cost - what price your eyesight? I have been one of the luckier ones with better than 20:20 vision - what more could I have asked for?
