I have been considering laser surgery for a number of years and had one consultation at another practice known for accepting patients that others would turn away. They passed me for surgery and told me I had thinnish corneas but that wouldn't be a problem as I could expect a favourable outcome. Yesterday I went to Centre for Sight for a second opinion - and thank heavens I did!! I was diagnosed as having very thin corneas and that laser surgery would be very risky. To the point in fact that I could develop serious eye problems. Another option was Artisan lenses but, unfortunately, the corneal endothelium - the layer of cells at the back of cornea - did not contain enouigh cells to perform this op. So, for me, a very disappointing result. I am grateful to Mr Daya for the professionalism and expertise (and his staff) and would advise anyone considering going for laser surgery to go to the experts at Centre for Sight.
