After two years of lasik research, including wading through countless journals I decided to take the plunge on 22nd April. I had attended a prior consultation at Accuvision, who had stated I was a candidate, but decided I needed a little extra assurance. The journals i had studied pointed heavily toward intralasik - both for the almost eradication of flap complications, and the minimisation of other post-op complications. The consultation and surgery were performed by Mr. Daya who is, without a doubt, one of the best if not the best lasik surgeon in the country and is still producing research today.

My pre-op prescription of -5 in both eyes has now been improved beyond even my expectations. I have yet to have a post-op eye exam but I can see clearer than I ever could with glasses or contact lenses. The only discomfort I felt was a gritty sensation for about 4 hours after the surgery which was easily contained by paracetamol/ibuprofen and rest.

Centre for sight cost that little bit extra, but this is your eyesight. They have the best technology, the best laser and the best surgeon - worth every penny in my book.
