Great experience. I was very nervous but it was over with very quickly. Staff very professional and put you at ease. I am now glasses free and would recommend Advanced Vision Care to anyone. You can’t take a risk with your eyes so you go to the best. Deciding on CLE surgery is a serious procedure and it was very important for me to feel I was in good hands from the very start. From the first telephone enquiries up until surgery and post-surgery, I really could not find fault with the services provided by AVC (compared to the somewhat patronising attitude of the practitioners in my own country of residence!). The staff are always polite and concerned and also very patient in answering any questions you may have. The operation itself is surprisingly rapid, the only uncomfortable aspect being the very bright op light. I always wanted to do corrective eye surgery and be able to see my daughter's cheeky smile in the morning, but I was delaying the decision for years. I chose Advanced Vision Care as my optician recommended Mr Pillai. Pawel Marcinkowski, who dealt with my appointments and assisted during the surgery, was always friendly and highly professional. He and Mr Pillai answered my questions and concerns. From start to finish I can’t fault the service I have received. Before coming to AVC, I had had previous consultations with both Optimax and Vision Express and neither came close to the level of care and attention to detail as AVC. I am very happy about my treatment 6 month ago. The customer service was excellent. I felt in safe hands with the surgeon and his team. I was unlucky and needed an enhancement. This risk was explained to me beforehand and I understand it is just due to the sometimes unpredictable healing process of your cornea.My vision now is excellent. Had the first operation about a year ago and the result was quite poor on one eye - ended up with astigmatism (double vision, distortion, etc.), which I did not have before the operation. Went through two corrections over the next 8 months and now, one year later from the initial operation, the vision is OK but still not 100% satisfactory. I must say, though, that it is nice to be able to live without depending on contact lenses.  More...
