I cannot sing the praises of the Doctors and staff at Accuvision highly enough. I wish also to thank Lasik-eyes.
I had been considering laser surgery for years but it was only after contacting Accuvision that I felt confident enough to go ahead with the procedure. Accuvision's
'state of the art' technology and the patience of their staff, as I asked hundreds of questions, was
    commendable.

My prescription was –5.5 in both eyes, I’m 25 years old and I had worn glasses since I was 13. I had areas of
concern when I first spoke to Accuvision. The main questions were, would be able to see as well after surgery as I did with my lenses,
and would I need glasses in the future. The replies were honest and understandable no guarantees but a better
than 95% chance I would see 2020 and only a small possibility of needing a reduced prescription. I was reassured with the
honest approach of no guarantees albeit from their previous patients then odds were heavily in my favour.

After my initial consultation, Accuvision were able to provide me with outcomes of patients with a similar prescription to mine
the numbers were very good. They also explained that I would (like most people) need reading glasses after the age of 45 this
would be the case if I was to continue wearing contact lenses. I went ahead with the procedure. Having surgery should give me
approx 20 years of ‘glasses free’ vision after which I would probably need to start wearing reading glasses as my eye muscles
weakened. The likelihood of 20 years without glasses was enough to persuade me to go ahead and have the laser eye surgery. I
am a travel agent and travelling with all the kit that goes with contact lenses and then also taking specs was getting me down.

I was scared perhaps terrified would be more accurate, but my fears proved to be totally unfounded. The procedure took
approx 10 minutes and while it was slightly uncomfortable it did not hurt at all! My vision was instantly ‘cured’, as I left the
operating theatre I was able to see my glasses on the table at the far end of the room. You are advised to
keep your eyes shut as much as possible in the next few hours after the op. To be honest that was the most comfortable thing to
do, as my eyes felt as if I'd over worn my contact lenses. It was an amazing feeling to be able to read car number
plates without glasses as I left Accuvision and walked out.

My eyes felt gritty for about 4 hours. That evening I went out for a meal confident in my vision only a slight haziness, which
cleared over the next few days.

Now with the opening of a Midlands clinic close to the NEC I have my appointments with the clinic staff there. I can not
congratulate the staff at both the Accuvision Centres.

Also I would like to thank this web site for the help in navigating my way to a successful outcome of better than 2020. I am
surprised at the volume of testimonials that you have collected. It was this volume and diversity of patients both on lasik-eyes
and Accuvision that helped me build up the confidence to undertake this “life changing” surgery.

    THANKS LASIK-EYES and ACCUVISION.

I cannot stress how much easier life is without having to worry about lenses and solutions and glasses. I have travelled abroad a
number of times and thank god for Accuvision.

If you are considering laser eye surgery. Don’t be frightened at least ask the questions.
