I had my surgery on 28th April 2005 (some time ago now), and can say now that time has past, that I have the same opinion now that I had the day after surgery: The best thing I could have spent money on!
It's easy to forget how much of an inconvenience wearing glasses was. I sat down to watch telly the other night and even after all this time I had an urge to reach out for them. It's just such a relief not to have to bother with them anymore. I love swimming, whether it's in the sea or local pool, and now I have 20-15 vision I find that I am going more often.
This is all down to Accuvision. I admit I went to them with the only recommendation being a magazine article, so from that point of view I was taking a risk. But after seeing how professional they are at my consultation I knew that I could trust them. In particular, my consultant Vik Patel was excellent. He was very calming, reassuring and explained everything to the last detail.
So if you are considering whether it is a good idea to go through with this proceedure, go and see Accuvision and they put your mind at rest.
And lastly, if you are thinking about going to a cheaper 'back ally' clinic to have this done, remember a quote from the magazine article I read: 'Save money on clothes and shoes, not eye surgery'.
